    Nuggets Suspend Martin Indefinitely

    By ARNIE STAPLETON
    AP Sports Writer

DENVER (AP) -- Kenyon Martin was unhappy about his limited playing time in Denver's playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers. Now he won't be suiting up for the Nuggets at all.

The Nuggets suspended their forward indefinitely on Tuesday night for what they called detrimental conduct.

"This is an internal matter that we will deal with in-house," coach George Karl said in a statement.

Boooooooooooooo. Is this really the time for Martin to start throwing tantrums? (Of course not.) Let's give it up for Karl for not taking that kinda GUFF.

Should I go ahead and congratulate the Clippers for winning their first playoff series since the Buffalo Braves bested the Philadelphia 76ers back in the first round in 1976?

Already down 0-2 after suffering a particularly embarrassing loss in Game 2 of the series, the Nuggets are gonna need some big-time heroics now if they're gonna even make it back to L.A. for Game 5, let alone win the series.

Bad knees, bad attitude, bad contract.

He'll be a Knick in time for the preseason.

I think a K-Mart/future #1 (lotto protected forever) for the expiring deal of Mo Taylor will come to pass.

"Speaking of Thomases, I loved your recent Atrocious GM Summit column, although I think that you flatter Isiah Thomas far too much by suggesting that he is merely one of a number of atrocious GMs. The truth is that Rob Babcock and Billy King are Einstein next to him. The mess he is creating right now in New York will be studied by business school students 50 years from now alongside Enron and pets.com."

I wouldn't give Zeke enough credit to protect the lottery pick. The Bulls are getting the number one this year, and the right to switch number ones next year, for Eddy Curry.

No, I meant NY gets a #1 from Denver. It's along the lines of Jalen Rose/protected #1 Isiah got from Toronto in exchange for Antonio Davis' expiring deal.

Since it is Isiah, I'm sure it would be Kenyon Martin for Mo Taylor's expiring contract plus Channing Frye, since with Curry and Martin manning the front line, they would no longer need Frye. And probably an unprotected #1 pick in '08 from the Knicks to the Nuggets to sweeten the deal.

You can take the player out of the University of Cincinnati, but you can't take the Bearcat out of the player.

And the Nuggets have three (sports.espn.go.com) of these guys.

Are the Kings going to get a new Arena or could they be moving possibly to Seattle? I remember a while back the Maloof's complaining that ARCo Arena was outdated.
