Here's a link to a vid on youtube taken in a hotel lobby of Johnny Jeter of the Spirit Squad getting his chest chopped to hell by Umaga while his arms are being held by John Cena, Armando Estrada and Carlito. Jeter took it well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXImc3q7uH4
Has the statute of limitations on weird foreign wrestlers with tatooed faces expired? Vince loved to say "Ha-Ku-SHEE" during his commentary on the bret hart dvd.
I commented that this Umamunga guy appears to be someone that I will never cheer for and never boo, either.
(edited by canis582 on 26.4.06 0810) I just remembered that im absent minded wait i mean i lost my mind, i cant find it.
I saw the clip myself and if Vince see this, here's what I predict what'll happen next:
* Cena would be slapped on the wrist, since he's currently the champ
* Carlito, Umaga, and his manager would be taking the punishment
* Of course, the WWE would order the site to take the video down

Vince will do nothing. This is no worse than what JBL has done with wrestlers and broomsticks, and I don't ever remember him getting punished.

No, it's definitely not as bad as that (and really isn't that bad at all). The big difference, though, is that it was caught on video and is being spread around the internet. That might lead to some form of punishment for some of those involved.

*meekly raises hand*
Punishment for what? It's some guys fucking around in a hotel lobby. They don't spill their beer, they don't put holes in the wall, they're not wrestling on the furniture. This wouldn't even get them thrown out of a bar.

Of course? I'm not sure what grounds WWE has to make such a demand. I guess it depends on who filmed it. My guess, though, is that since it appears to be filmed out in public, WWE will have very few grounds, if any, to try to get the video removed.

It's along the same lines as the dress code policy. Public perception is very important to them, and it happening in a hotel lobby in front of fans (and videotaped no less) might lead to some form of punishment.
Note, again, my italics on the word "might." I'm not saying there'll definitely be punished, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was and could sort of see the reasoning they'd use to justify it.

The thing about this is that he doesn't even look to be fighting back... he realizes that it's the hazing he has to endure. I don't see what the punishment would be for.
On a side note, I was particularly amused that Cena wears his own t-shirts while hanging out with the boys.
Does management believe in kayfabe this month? Cause if they do, the real infraction could be heels and faces associating with each other in public!
Or Cena dropping his wigger accent. Or maybe he was still doing it, I'm not sure. All I heard was him saying FUCK every other word. Either way, that image can't be good for the kids, yo

I just got to see this as it came in the form of a link from Wrestling-Online and there free newsletter.
What I have to say is first I didn't expect to see the "Now you been **CKING baptised" as the thread title. I thought it might be something to the effect of new internet video of fun in bar with some of WWE finest.
That was great because I remember even as I was taking training that's what they always taught me was the bread and butter of wrestling is the "chop". I remember that I took some pretty hard ones and those by the "Wild Samoan" Umaga/Jamal look as stiff as they come. I agree...BAPTISED! Lucky his heart didn't stop too.
This is no where near as bad as McMahon having people kiss his bare ass in the middle of the ring on live tv so far as PR goes. Plus you see wrestlers getting the sh*t chopped out of them all the time during matches. This is slightly amusing, but not really a big deal otherwise.
- I will chant "OOH-MA-GAAAAAAAA" at any and all WWE events I attend.
- If they want to get Cena over as a babyface, they need to show this video. This is THE CHAMP, who just beat their franchise in the Wrestlemania main event, hanging out with a bunch of (mostly) lower-midcard guys. He really seems like a cool guy here, and it doesn't feel forced at all (unlike on WWE TV).

- You, my friend, are overreacting. At worst, this is a kangeroo court infraction due to a kayfabe breach. Period.
This is fun, and the more I see of things like this, the more it makes me enjoy pro-graps.

I've always thought that chops were some of the dumbest and smarkiest moves in wrestling.
Why slap somebody in the chest when you could just as easily *punch* them right in the *face*?
It's just a message board, people. Chill out. Now, go show your internet diapproval of me! YEA!
I think both sides are wrong here. It is both overreaction and understating. Company-wise, this shouldn't be a big deal, but look at where they are. If this is indeed a hotel lobby, this is slightly a disturbance to the peace. I'm sure there could easily be a few elderly (or even normal) couples staring in the corner at the 5 or 6 250 pound men screaming "OOMAGAAA...FUCK FUCK SHIT FUCK BAPTISE FUCK OOOMAGAAAA" and holding a mans arms back as they slap him in the chest HARD. I'm pretty sure it would bother a few people. Not me, but a few people. Also, in terms of the "hazing"...he seems to be smiling and not really taking it to heart. This is hardly your "shower broomstick rape" hazing. No reason for a punishment on those grounds.
