It figures that though Randy Orton's got a well-documented history of being a dick, the time he finally gets suspended for it he doesn't come out the worst off!
The real loser in this situation is the hotel employee who lost his job. Don't get me wrong, he should not, should NOT have flicked Orton off, but... shit!

Wasn't Rhyno basically fired for bad behaviour on Wrestlemania weekend? I get the feeling the company knows that is a high profile time, and as such, they have little to no tolerance for any shit from ANYONE that weekend. Randy may usually be a dick, but he should still have known to reign it in.
Besides, even if the clerk was snippier with Randy than indicated, Randy's an ass for not following directions. (So too are Dreamer and Supercrazy, if that's the case.)
When he got there they also gave him keys, the ones he was supposed to receive in the first place. He came back to the front desk yelling "Which f**king key is going to work now?"
This is the part that cracks me up. Orton has two keys, and one door. He could have just tried one key and then, if it didn't work, tried the other. However, this apparently requires a bit more thinking than Orton is capable of, so he ends up being outwitted by a door.
well, it looks like randy orton may still be wrestling in the king of the ring tournement according to Smackdown, which meens he might be on TV another week during a suspension!

...no he won't. The suspension starts on the 12th, meaning he gets to do the time-honored tradition to Angle and go home.

Looks like YOU didn't read post #22 (or possibly any other post in this thread)!
Call me crazy, but part of me thinks that the suspension is some sort of work and that Orton will lose to Lashley in the finals of the KOTR tournament.

I guessed wrong. I apologize a thousand times. I know this is the first time in recorded history anyone has ever been incorrect in a prediction thread. I also guessed wrong that Jimmy Valiant was going to come out and proclaim the Boogie Man was his long lost son and start a new war with Paul Jones' Army. Shockingly, being wrong on that prediction upset me much more than anything involving Bret Hart has ever done, is ever doing, or will ever do. 1908.

I had high hopes. And it would have made the best sense booking wise. Bret interfering on either man's behalf would allow the feud to end or continue equally. Unlike the current booking where Vince was demolished at WM, continues the feud anyway, and then books a tag match against God.

Is everyone going to insist that God will agree to show up at Backlash now? "They wouldn't be hinting in that direction unless he runs in at the finish, so logically he has to! They're just acting like he won't really be there to swerve us."

My dread -- I mean, my deep, dirty dread -- is that Vince will suffer a "heart attack" before he can pin Shawn. Shawn kips up, superkick, pin. Vince comes back a few weeks later a changed man, having been scared by God and his half-dead vision of hell. And Vince's new spiritual adviser? Brother Love.
Granted, it's a very specific dread, but this is what I worry about for the match.
If they want to work around the God stipulation, bring over JBL as a Wrestling God.

MY dread is that Vince may finally be so out of touch with what the public wants that at the PPV he might actually debut a new wrestler under the name and character of "God"
Considering that, I pray to God (The Deity, not the wrestler) that your situation is the one they go with.

I think we all know how it's going to play out...Vince and the Product of His Semen will get an advantage through some heelish means, Michaels will come back (maybe with god giving him power or something), and the McMahons will then somehow steal the victory after getting their asses kicked. Then Vince will brag about not only defeating HBK, but also defeating god.

I think my comment about it was, I didn't expect it, but was hoping it was a work an he'd be there.
I think that's the case here in the Randall situation too. It seems like he's taking a couple months off after they clean up storylines, but part of me hopes it's a work and they play him as a "wronged soul" during that time.
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.
