That was a strange episode last night. The whole Paulie thing came out of left field. I think that was the first time we'd ever seen his aunt/mom and I don't remember her ever being mentioned. I was happy it was an episode about him, but it was just weird.
There were a lot of funny moments. I loved when Paulie threw the tv out the window and it crashed right as the wheelchair person was rolling by. I also loved them showing how inept Bobby was by shooting the rapper. It was also good to see the Janice's narcoleptic ex-boyfriend again.
Another episode that left me feeling depressed. The funniest part was the look on Pauly's face when him and T are walking through the hospital discussing the auntie/mom issues after Tony says "so you don't want to talk about it?" But then Pauly turns sadistic and starts breaking knees. That was sad, just like the dude who hanged himself a few weeks ago. Carmela looked hot last night.

What brought that moment to the next level was the person on in the wheelchair/scooter completely no-selling the TV falling on the other side of the glass door. At least the hospital time is over, so things might move back towards normal. Plus, except for a few moments in week 2, the lack of Uncle Junior since the shooting has been disappointing.
I'm hoping that Paulie's dad "Russ" turns out to be Dr. Russ Fegoli, who we saw at the birthday party for Carmella's dad last season. He's the right age, and Hugh told AJ that story about how Russ had crabs back when they were in the Navy...
Anyway, when Bobby first started talking to the rappers I was waiting to see him pretend he was Turtle and offer to promote the guy. Instead, Bobby shoots the guy in the ass. Awesome. I'm wondering if that's the end of the story or if we'll see the rapper come back pissed off at him...
Paulie's story seemed silly, but he was great. Breaking the kids legs and extorting 4 grand out of him to justify paying for his mom's retirement home was hilarious, and still true to his character. I figure the rap guy getting shot in the ass will make him a laughing stock, instead of having street cred, which he hoped for. Hope they follow up on that.
Michael Scott: Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.
