#2 Posted on 5.4.06 1455.21 | Instant Rating: 8.81 By the way, since this only works with XP SP2 install discs, you may want to know how to make one if you only have a Pre-SP2 install disc. The process is known as slipstreaming the install disc. You need to download SP2 and slipstream it into your install files. Here's where you get the XP SP2 files from. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=049C9DBE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5A&displaylang=en If you are running Windows 2000 and need to slipstream an XP service pack, see the following article:http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=889719 Here are some instructions for making a bootable XP SP2 slipstreamed CD.http://www.theeldergeek.com/slipstreamed_xpsp2_cd.htm Hope this helps someone. This may be easiest of all of the slipstreaming methods, but I've never used it and can't vouch for it.http://www.simplyguides.net/guides/using_autostreamer/using_autostreamer.shtml Off to a meeting now. I knew it could be done, but I didn't expect that Apple would provide an official way for it to be done. Me neither. All I can guess is they thought about doing it for the beginning and put it out there as soon after it hackers found a way to do it to keep some control of it. thecubsfan. com - CMLLBlog CRZ
