The Gamecube is finally released here in the UK on this coming Friday and I was wondering if any of you kind Americans who already have a Gamecube could advise me on what capacity memory card you really need for it. They are releasing a 4mb card on release day and a 8mb card at the start of June. Should I wait until June for the higher capacity card (I'm not necessarily in any rush) or is the 4mb card sufficient for several games worth of saves? I was slightly worried about how much the 4mb card would really hold since the PS2 memory cards are 8mb standard...

Cheers.

Gamecube mem cards that came out in the states were only half a megabyte, and most everybody has been making due with them, so the 4mb one should serve you well. Just be sure to look at the price. If the 4mb costs just as much as the 8mb, wait for the 8mb. If it costs about half as much, you aren't losing anything on the 4mb.

I wouldn't say a 4mb card. It's more like .59mb. Not exactly a huge memory card, but if you don't plan on getting any sports games, you should have plenty of room for Luigi's Mansion, Smash Brothers Melee, and whatever else you decide to get.

Thanks guys, I'm more of a non-sports game fan, so I'll get a 4mb card. I was going to get Rogue Squadron II and Luigi's Mansion looks tempting too, but I might just wait for Mario Sunshine so hopefully that should do fine.

Luigi's Mansion is pretty good, has great graphics and some good puzzles, but it can get a little repetitive. Rogue Squadron has amazing visuals and is hard as hell, even on the easy setting.

Both are worth having.

Anyone who owns a Gamecube, and doesn't own Super Monkey Ball(especially since it's now only $30 in the US) should be shot. :)

And they're coming out with Super Monkey Ball 2!!!!!!

YESSSSSS!!!!

Oh, and NHL Hitz rocks. I wish they'd actually put features into Blitz so it'd be fun again.

Yeah, I immediately got on the phone and called a friend when I found out about SMB2.

I'm so lame.

Zero got it and to put it frankly, he would rather have taken the bullet.
