Besmirches, no, but using his real life death to get heel heat for their angles is incredibly creepy. I hope Eddie's family gets a main event payoff for the Rumble and No Way Out since he's being used to draw the buyrates. The fact that "Eddie Guerrero Is Dead" is the company's second longest-running angle behind Mickie James & Trish really says a lot -- especially when it's all been in the name of getting Randy Orton over as a heel. WWE Creative sure lucked into Eddie dying young.
You know what would be even creepier? Let's say (And of course I hope this doesn't happen) Bob Orton dies before Rey's and Randy's blow-off. Is there any doubt that creative would use that to counter Eddie's help? Shit, they'd even have photos of the two ghosts standing behind the two wrestlers during the 'match run-downs' and the commentators would argue over who's dead manager was helping more.
The sad thing is that I have absolute faith in the WWE doing that if it were to happen.
Originally posted by dwatersHunter is pissed at Rey for winning the Rumble instead of him. Rey was good friends with the late Eddie Guerrero. Hunter believes the ghost of Eddie helped Rey win. Since he can't fight Eddie (ghost) or Rey (Smackdown) he is blaming Eddie's nephew Chavo and will kick his ass for revenge. The crowd chants "Eddie" even though neither wrestler is named that and he is dead so it's not like he'll hear them backstage and do a run-in. Just bizarre. Nobody finds this exploitation of Eddie totally weird and uncomfortable? Two months after the tribute show and he's still part of the storylines? All of these wrestler deaths, yet I've just never seen any of them handled like this.?
I find it weird, uncomfortable, and quite frankly, disgusting.
WWE NEVER did this when it came to Owen Hart. Or any other late great worker that used to work for their company.

Actually, if that were to happen I'd picture Wrestlemania ending with the Juniors singing the Ewok song while the smiling blue ghosts of Eddy and Cowboy Bob look on.

I don't know if it speaks more for their ignorance as to knowing when not to cross the line or their complete and total desperation.

I'm surprised that no one has called the Lita turn on Edge yet. She'll turn on him and go with the gold (Cena), thus turning Cena heel and Edge face.
Lita wasn't rooting on her man last night. Lita nailed Edge (on purpose) with the belt, not to get him the win, but to hurt him. Mickey Jay saw that, and gave the win to Edge. She didn't come to his aid on the outside.
I'm thinking along the same lines, but I'm pretty sure it's a swerve. Lita's going to facke going with Cena, only to betray him and put the title back on Edge.

He certainly needs to dust off the ring rust.
I also kinda wonder, if this drug testing deal is truly legit, how Rob van Half-Baked is going to perform. Considering cannabis is his best friend, it makes you wonder if he's gonna be around much longer, or if his in-ring performance is going to suffer if he has to go clean.
Of course, this is assuming marijuana is on the "banned" list...

It all adds up.
A Cena heel turn is easy, but who really wants to cheer Edge? turning Edge face would kill off almost all of his heat. Better to keep Edge heel, as well as keep Lita by his side.

My assumption was that Lita hit Edge because a DQ win would be more grounds for a rematch along the line than a pinfall loss or even a DQ loss.
Originally posted by Deputy MarshallThe insinuation that Rey Mysterio won the Royal Rumble because of Eddy's ghost, and that the same ghost wouldn't help his own nephew in a match against HHH, makes me...uncomfortable. That's the only word I can use to describe it
Uncomfortable is a perfect word for it. I am glad that they allowed Rey to win the Rumble. I really hope that they decide to let him have a little run as champ (no pun intended).
But wouldn't be nice for Rey & Chavo to team up and win Tag Belts together? Then put a twisty tie on Eddie Guerrero's life and let the man rest in peace.

Why exactly is Vince screwing Shawn? Because Vince screwed Bret nine years ago in a match involving Shawn so therefore Shawn deserves equal treatment?????
I forgot about Goldust's tourettes. It was tourettes and not a stutter.
I remember Vince saying something like Shawn wasn't towing the line or doing what he was told. Vince coming out at the time was a total non-sequitur unrelated to anything going on at the time. Of course I forgot about Goldust's tourettes so my memory may be suspect.
Goldust didn't have the Tourette's when he and Vader beat up Batista on Raw a while back.

The cruiserweight division is DEAD, primarily because of 1) the cruisers being used as jobber-fodder for fat asses like Bill Demott, Albert, and Big Show for the past 4 months and 2)
