More movie talk: We were discussing the "Revenge Tragedy" genre in Shakespeare class today (as we are starting Titus Andronicus) and the teacher put on the screen examples of that genre that are around today, and the last one she showed was Memento which made me involuntarily exclaim "Hell yes!" as many of my classmates did likewise.
(This is a story from school being relayed to multiple friends)
It's a site about the Pling Plong, which is a music box that is "programmable" by punching holes in a cardboard strip, like an old computer data card. I clipped it in order to email it to a friend who lives in Japan to see if he could locate one for me. (They don't seem to be sold over here in the States. The closest I found was at a museum in Utrecht, The Netherlands, but they aren't replying to my email. Grr)

All McDonalds commercials end the same way: "prices and participation may vary." I want to open my own McDonalds and not participate in anything. I want to be a stubborn McDonalds owner. "Cheeseburgers? Nope. We got spaghetti!...And blankets. But we are not affiliated with that clown, he attracts too many children."
Recently, many dioceses have formally appointed priests to the function of Exorcist; partly to respond to an increase in requests for the practice after the relase of the 1973 movie The Exorcist, and partly as a result of reaffirmation of exorcism as a necessary ritual by Pope John Paul II (who reportedly performed three exorcisms himself during his pontificate) and Pope Benedict XVI. Gabriele Amorth is the chief exorcist of the Diocese of Rome, and founder of the association of Catholic exorcists.

DIRECTIONS: 1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Saute onion until tender and translucent. Stir in the curry powder. Add the chopped carrots, and stir until the carrots are coated. Pour in the vegetable broth, and simmer until the carrots are soft, about 20 minutes. 2. Transfer the carrots and broth to a blender, and puree until smooth. Pour back into the pot, and thin with water to your preferred consistency.

1999 Nissan Altima. Runs great, and I got it for a steal, as I bargained with the dealer before the car got to the lot. They saw the car, tried to raise the price on me, but I wouldn't let them and I got the car for about 5,000 less than I should have.
