And NFL.com is reporting that Seattle can clinch the NFC West division championship with a win and a St Louis loss. I don't think I've ever seen a team able to clinch this early. I suppose that happens when you only have one good team in that division.
Also, your NFC numbering is a little goofy for some reason.
In the real world, WWE believes that no matter what our race, religious creed or ethnic background in America, we all share the common bond of being Americans. American-Arabs are a part of the fabric of America, and they should be embraced by all of us.

Didn't the Eagles clinch around week 12 last year too? The Giants were in second and one game better this year's Rams, but the Eagles were also one game better than this year's Seahawks.
St. Louis is at Houston, so they might not lose until the following week when they host Washington. They play Minnesota, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, which I think are all winnable games for them, before what is probably their toughest competition in Dallas in week 17.
As for Seattle, they host the Giants this week, which they should win, but the Giants aren't half bad. It is a road game for NY though, and Manning's only beaten SF on the road. (NO doesn't count this year.) They are at Philadelphia the following week, which they also should win, and then they get to beat up on the 49'ers, so worst case scenario, they clinch in week 14.
(edited by EddieBurkett on 22.11.05 0957) Indiana! Indiana!

Particularly since the game was played at Giants Stadium.
"He is the most overrated piece of crap in the league. He bitched and whined after he got his ass beaten in New England last year, so the NFL changed the rules. Then he got his ass beaten in New England again. Every year he's the top MVP candidate. Every year he's supposed to be the best. Every year he's going to carry the Colts to the Super Bowl. And every single year he goes to New England and gets his ass beaten. And his brother's a whiny little bitch." -A friend of mine, on Peyton Manning
Orton this year: QBRating 62.5 (8 TD, 11 INT) Dilfer in 2000: QBRating 76.6 (12 TD, 11 INT)
Orton's gotta get into the positive before he's up to Dilfer level. He had a bad pick versus Carolina which could've cost them if they actually needed points. Out of the 13 they got, 10 were set up by Vasher INTs early, and the offense didn't look great in the second half.
Dilfer could make an important drive when the 2000 Ravens need him. Going up agianst two good defenses the next week, Orton might have trouble doing that.

Orton's numbers are inflated though by one truly awful performace way back in his 4th game, where he threw 5 INT's and 0 TD's against Cincy. Take that out and he's at 8TD/6INT, which is right in that Dilfer range.
In addition, his receivers have dropped some sure TDs, including Muhammed doing so Sunday. And several interceptions have come off easily catchable balls the receivers missed.
He is clearly not a QB that is going to win us many games by himself, but he is a QB who will develop into a "manage the game well and let the RB and defense win it" kind of player.
I'd personally rather have an average QB and good running and defense any day of the week.
With that, GO BEARS! (I can't wait to intercept Favre 10 times or so).
- The Chicago Bears are for real. Beating the top two teams from the NFC South in consecutive weeks proves to me that they can play with anybody else in the NFC. The real question is, if they go all the way, how will the fare against the offense heavy AFC?
- The Seattle Seahawks are not. The Giants showed that if you buckle down on the run and force them to pass, they're just the same Seahawks of old. What the Giants failed to do was double-cover Jurevicius and make Hasslebeck throw to his more drop prone receivers. The Seahawks are guilty of the same thing as they should have been double-covering Plaxico all night. But in the end, the Seahawks just looked mediocre. Sorry JayJay, but you can't depend on your opponents to set franchise records in penalties as well as miss three straight game winning field goals every night.
- The Texans suck. They were up by twenty-one and still lost.
- Brett Favre is not going to stop forcing bad passes until he retires or you bench him. Putting balls up for grabs in the end zone, not to mention triple coverage, are rookie mistakes Brett. Unless Favre can learn to be a much more conservative game manager and take what defenses give him, the Packers would be better suited to just move on. That said, I'd rather have Brett Favre behind center than Kurt Warner.

4 losses for the Giants, 3 on walk off kicks. I would have settled for a tie as it would have virtually eliminated tie-breakers in the division with Dallas. The way the schedule is, the Giants could lose out, when, if the kicker comes through, they would have been in a perfect position to at least get the 2 seed. What alternate universe have I found where the Vikings are a resilient team? The Bears still don't have much margin for error in the division despite how well the defense has played. That said, if the Bears get the 2 seed, they probably get to the Super Bowl. Houston is a bright team. They see the #1 pick slipping away, and they go into the tank. Chargers and Chiefs are going to be 2 pretty good 10 or 11 win teams that don't make the playoffs in the AFC, unless the Steelers or Bengals collapse.

For anyone who says Orton = Dilfer, I heartily disagree. Orton > Dilfer.
