I'll be straight, usually, I go around the boards and look at predictions of what might happen on RAW and Smackdown every weekend. Last weekend I didn't do that because I went out of town. I was truly surprised to see HHH on RAW. Before you get started on all this political crap, it's been done to death. I saw Backlash the night before at a friend's house, and you know what? It all made perfect sense. Taker cost HHH the Title, HHH obviously isn't happy about being on Smackdown, so what does he do? He goes caveman on UT on the other show, not caring what happens. The best part was when he pulled out his old friend, the sledgehammer. I marked out for it, because it was about time. That was just an awesome brawl, and Can anybody tell me who else could make the Undertaker bleed like that? I have on tape a Smackdown before Wrestlemania 17 that had HHH really bloodying UT up too. Comments?
Oh, hell yeah! It's like they're fighting over ME. ;-)
Nah--I just appreciate a good, nasty, intense brawl, and Tripsy's beatdown on Taker definitely qualified. I mark for good bladejobs and major sellfests. I agree with Ringmistress entirely; that sledgehammer was long overdue for an appearance.
Seemed like old times, when I truly enjoyed Trip's work. Maybe getting that belt off him will improve his promos, or better, eliminate them. Running in and truly whaling away on someone (thanks for the de-shirting, guys) beats his slow, boring, immodest boasting any day. For a tweener, he's the most heelish face around, and it hasn't been working, IMO. They saved heel Undertaker's first major beatdown for Trip--that was a significant development, so I'd imagine the office realizes he's having a few problems getting over...
Of all people deserving a massive beatdown by triple h.... it was the undertaker. I hope this continues with maybe the Undertaker going back after trips or maybe trips taking his anger out on someone on smackdown now. The sledgehammer! oh hell yeah!.
I am the JOBBER TO THE STARS. You better remember that.
Cardinals 9W 10L (as of 4-21) 4 losses in a row against the brewers? what the hell?
The sledgehammer of plot makes a triumphant return!
This entire thing we're involved with called the world is an opportunity to exhibit how exciting alienation can be. Life is a matter of a miracle that is collected over time by moments flabbergasted to be in each others' presence. The world is an exam, to see if we can rise into the direct experiences. Our eyesight is here as a test, to see if we can see beyond it. Matter is here as a test for our curiosity. Doubt is here as an exam for our vitality.
I wouldn't have minded HHH appearing if they wouldn't have had him in the arena. Somehow I could have tolerated the breaking of the split had they had HHH attack UT outside of the arena as he arrived. However the fact that he somehow got inside the arena, all the way to the ring, and fought all around the building just annoyed me. They could have had the same beating by HHH on UT, but had they done it outside of the ring they would have been far less egregious in the breaking of the split.
"You used it to shove your miserable daughter down our throats week in and week out...not anymore!" - Ric Flair gives me hope, Raw 3/18/02
"I thought it was cool how HHH just tossed Jericho out of the ring and made him vanish, possibly into another dimension, at the end of the match." - Dr. Unlikely says the funniest thing I've ever read on Wienerville
Exactly Shea, cuz if they hadn't played his music, it would have at least made his action seem um, rebellious or special, but no, they HAD to do the music.
Well, it was made for the MTV/ADHD generation where people get bored after 2 minutes. But, it had Matt Classic, therefor it was awesome. I don't think it was ever meant to be taken as a serious wrestling fed.
