As most of you all know, Lita's neck is pretty majorly messed up and she's probably going under the knife ala Austin/Benoit/Rhyno. This means she'll be out for quite a spot of time.
My question? How does one write her out? Common thought would be to have Brock destroy her (as it fits in nicely with current angles and also draws Brock pretty major heat). However, it would mean that you risk hurting Lita even worse (especially given the high impact nature of Brock's offense).
So what other avenues are there to write her out? Just say one day, "Oops, Lita had neck surgery. She'll be back next year!"
(Also troubling is that this KILLS the Hardy's heat as she was about the only thing that popped the crowd outside the girly shirt takin' off screams and the Swanton pop)

These mini Reeses cup things are addictive...
I'd have Jazz fight her and not let go of the STF. This would make Trish's eventual title victory all the more special.
Until the tag titles become cross-show, I'd have the Hardys do what they are doing now. Get fed to heels. The Hardys made it pretty clear with their lackadaisical feud with each other that they don't want singles pushes. Once they are in the running for tag titles again, build them back up from scratch.

I suppose they could always do the "[wrestler] finds Lita beaten down, another wrestler says they saw Brock do it" trick. It's been done before; Edge and Christian were suppose to "wrestle" the Conquistadors the night after No Mercy 2000, but Christian was put through a table off screen.
I'm sure there are other examples of this theme as well.
As for Lita's absence killing the Hardyz' heat, I'm in complete agreement.
Heh..as she can appear off screen for at least another week (was the surgery scheduled for next week anyways or was she just going on for another examination?) they can do several things, amongst those are, a backstage beat down..paul driving her off, some stipulation where she has to come with him if the hardyz lose to brock in a handicap match.. instead of driving off into the sunset with paul, she runs off
As for the hardyz, this is a good thing..they could be slowly be rebuilt into whatever is needed for them to become interesting again, without having the Lita/3-Extreme shit about them..Have them be real cheaters instead of relying on the cheatacanrana which gets face pops because 'this chick takes on that big guy' .. I thought everyone agreed Team Extreme had to split up/get rid of Lita to ever work again..so this is the best chance ever..
So..think once she returns she will still kill herself in the ring? :)

she can still be a valuable asset to the boyz if she can at least come out to the ring, just not get involved physically. for the short term, the "i saw Brock do it" treatment will work but she needs to get back to tv soon to keep interest in her. perhaps do an angle where we see her with the boyz in the locker room before the match but she stays backstage. I would say maybe she could sharpen her verbal skills by doing guest commentary on Heat for women's matches (keep Lawlwer away from her.) Meanwhile ,have her do lots of public appearances like ticket on sale's and mall tours, publicizing them on Heat/Excess.

Why not just say what actually happened? They didn't write in an injury angle for Benoit or Rhyno.
Matthew: You would've loved it, David. A week in a foreign country, strange people, strange customs... Dave: Oh, I know what you mean. I've been to Canada.
Well, with Benoit, the WWF claimed that it was injured in the three-way match with Jericho and Austin, although the surgery had been planned since before that match. Certainly the damage had been before.
And Rhyno was fired from the Alliance for losing the Hardcore title(I think it was the Hardcore belt). So both injuries were written off with an angle.
This might be the time to try a Hardys heel turn, as has been suggested above. I'm assuming they aren't going to get any wins over Brock, so they could have Matt and Jeff tired of getting beaten around and picked on, so they start looking for a way to save face by finding someone they can push around. They actually have the guy for the job, Spike Dudley, and he's holding a title with seemingly no feud.
Let the depressed/angry Matt and Jeff pick on Spike, which naturally brings Buh Buh Ray in to defend him, and they can pair off a Dudley and a Hardy as they see fit for short feuds over the Euro and Hardcore titles. I don't think it would be that hard to get to. Spike's been a Brock victim, he can go up to Matt or Jeff and say "Hey, it's a shame what Brock did..." to get the angry Hardy reaction. Might be an OK angle to turn them.
The hateful gothy Hardyz were fun to watch. Before they turned on Gangrel. I'd be all for another turn. Or a Matt singles push. Maybe he could play giant killer to Brock. I should point out that he was already injured going into his RAW match and he had a good deal of offense before Brockberg turned the tables. As for Lita...off to the glue factory?

RandomWrestling:What'cha Gonna Do? (That's a rhetorical question.)
Editors can do wonders with pre-taped segments, so Lita getting hurt worse should be easily avoided. Just don't do it live.
My vote is for putting Jazz over (as opposed to Brock). Gives the women's division extra heat, and lessens the danger factor re: Lita's neck.
And since Lita's out (and also since I'm really getting sick of seeing the same 4 girls over and over), maybe it's FINALLY time to break out those Tough Enough 1 chicks. Debut Nidia, and DEFINITELY debut Taylor. Variety's the spice of life, Vince.
PS: Lita getting hurt so bad (on the set of a TV show, no less) proves something I've always thought: that girl's a klutz!
I agree that with Lita out and with Ivory isolated on Smackdown, there definately should be some new talent added to the division. If we don't see this within the next few shows then things are going to start getting very boring real soon, even with continued good matches by the women. There's only so far the Molly-Trish-Jazz thing can go. Personally I would like to see one of the current Tough Enough girls added as soon as possible, but I guess we have to wait for the season to end first, right? (Any idea on how much longer they have?)
Have The Brock take her out. Set it up so that he is beating a Hardy down, and she comes out to ringside and goes up top and tries a cheatacanrana, but Brock catches her and drops her on her neck, and before he can do more damage, Heyman comes out and looks at her sadistically. Then do the obligatory stretcher job and poof! there's your angle.

If you can think of a way of doing that without really hurting Lita badly, ok, but we're not out to keep smacking on a broken neck...
Well this would not appease smart fans, but if you had Ross say that she hurt her neck while attempting the rana, and had Brock just drop her limp body to the mat, that would work, or you would just have her get slammed on her back after Brock catches her and say he slammed her on her neck. At least thats what I'd do.
I prefer the idea of having Jazz and Molly do some kind of unmotivated backstage beatdown (or for something as trivial as bumping into them in the locker room). That would give Jazz and Molly a *ton* of heel heat. Of course I called for something like this to happen to Lita back when Jazz and Ivory were together...if it happened then we wouldn't have to worry about this now!

This is the first Impact I've watched start to finish in a while and I can't say I am impressed. Okay, they waste Herandez's title shot on the opening match of an Impact? It was wasting it, I don't care that he looked well. It was a stupid thing to do.
