smark/net attack Advisory System Status is: Elevated (Holds; July 5, 2005) It's good to see that the WWE isn't backing away from Batista or Cena. There's still some questions lingering over a few of the draft moves they either made or didn't make (Jericho being a prime example), but the stage is set for a solid run to Summerslam that may send the indicator down. The longer Triple H stays away is also a plus...
Originally posted by PWTorch Eddie Guerrero had breakfast this morning with Chavo Guerrero and at least one other wrestler, then returned to his hotel room. When he didn't come out of his room in the expected amount of time, friends went looking for him and found him dead.
Originally posted by WO.comHe had an early wake-up call that he didn't answer. Chavo Guerrero, who he was traveling with, called the room and again got no answer. When knocks on his hotel room door went unanswered, security got the door open and Eddie was found dead in the bathroom.

Wow, it hasn't sunk in yet. I thought it was a joke at first. I am glad at least that Eddie got to have his "moment in the sun" with Benoit at Wrestlemania XX before this horrible thing happened. Like many, I figured all the worst was behind him... (Wasn't Pillman found in a Minneapolis hotel as well?)

Wow. Like others have said, this feels just like a punch to the gut. I really hope this is a case of a tragic loss by accidental means rather than "another wrestler taken by his demons."
This isn't registering yet. I just sent in my RSPW ballot with votes for Guerrero in half the categories. He was one of the best, and he'll be missed greatly by fans and loved ones alike.
How the hell are they supposed to go on with their double-taping and European tour now?

Its been a while since ive been on here but i had to pay my respects to a great man and amazing performer. When i saw that graphic on WWE.com it brought a tear to my eye. A very tagic loss.
Likewise, I haven't been here in a long, long time. I have lost interest in wrestling to some degree, but I still taped the shows just to watch the Eddie & Angle (fast forwarding through the rest) just because they always brought the goods. This is rotten news and I had to stop by and share the moment with my friends of long ago.
Godspeed Eddie. One of the all-time best.

Knock me over with a feather. I'm just completely stunned by seeing this. But just wow. While he wasn't always one of my favorite wrestlers, I had so much respect for him from being able to battle his demons, and rise to the top again, only to have his life taken from him.
Eddie, Hawk, Candido, all able to finally to overcome the demons that had plagued them, all on the way back on the right track, and just like that it seems, they're gone. It's just not fair.
I wish I could say more right now, but i'm just at a loss for words. :-(
I'm shocked and saddened that one of my all-time favourites, and current favourite, is gone. We all remember Eddie as one of the best, but those of us who saw his UPN special and DVD know how strong a person he was, which makes this all the more sadder. I'm in a total state of shock over this, and am honestly trying to tell myself that this isn't true at all, even when I know it is. RIP Eddie Guerrero, and thank you for the memories, bringing me back into wrestling in the '90s and for keeping me around. :(
I'm not one who shows a lot of emotion, but I broke down in tears when I read about this. I mean, earlier in the morning, I was salivating (figuratively speaking) over a possible Eddie title run, and BANG...this happens.
Eddie...you will always be a champion to us; we are indebted to you for your blod, sweat, tears and the sacrifices you've made.
Eddie, you're a testament to what makes pro wrestling great.
There's.. not a lot you can say. I don't really post anymore, but I do read, and looking at this news now I feel obliged to say something. I thought... it meant that Eddie had been released by WWE (misreading the title as so-and-so 2000 - 13. Nov. 2005. Stupid, stupid), and... now, the feeling of getting hit by a truck is a very good description.
It's so strange, as I was reading reports of a Triple Threat for the World Title (against Orton and Batista), and I thought, "Yes! They are giving Eddie the ball again!", seeing as it might fit with the Eddie-Batista feud. But now... that doesn't even come to mind. It's one of the biggest comedowns..
Rest In Peace Eddie Guerrero. Now I regret not getting his DVD, and now's good reason to actually get it. I can't believe that this man who has beaten all this adversity in his life, who gave his all in the ring, who overcame odds to be a true WWE Champion, who gave us all special memories (his moment with Chris Benoit at Wrestlemania 20 springs to mind immediately) is now... gone. Wow. Nothing could prepare me for that today. Wrestling just lost one of it's all time greats, extremely prematurely. There's really no justice for it.
