Please keep the spoilers limited to what has already aired on TV. Zatch Bell is absent because my DVR is a whore.
Full Metal Alchemist Still the only show on Adult Swim that can do no wrong. What's a filler episode? Nice to see that Scar wasn't the only supposed bad guy to have more to him than meets the eyes.
I think Greed may have become one of my favorites, and he only lived for a few episodes. Not so greedy after all, was he? Nice sacrifice by the chimeras too.
Oh, and Armstrong's transmutation of the staff into a little statue of himself? PRICELESS.
IGPX Boy did this blow the micro series out of the water. After the last few CN action originals (SD Gundam/DICE) I set my expectations low and got pleasantly surprised here.
The voices are good (Hello again Starfire!), the 3d looks good, the 2d looks GREAT, the calm but not boring pace off the tracks, and the races are pretty good. All that and the whiny wannabe isn't too whine (I'm actually looking forward to seeing him race) and the little sister is actually not annoying.
As long they don't always win the suspense can be kept up. I hope we see plenty of episodes where team Satomi doesn't race and it's two other teams in there. Hey, they need to study their opponents right? Props to the talking cat too. And who else can't wait to see the French chick in action?
Unlike Megas, let's hope this one keeps it up.
Inuyasha The once highlight of my week/master of the cliffhanger hit a REAL rough spot (as in appeared to have jumped the shark) with the band of 7 concept which was poorly executed and felt like a filler arc (the first time that's happened in this show to me personally) but was coming off a good episode where we said goodbye to Kikiyo.
Slow setup, good end, but God in Heaven does ANYBODY like Koga? The best I've heard is tolerable but he wastes every moment he's in. The guy's just asinine in his existence.
Naruto The voices for Sasuke and Kakashi continue to be dead on. Haku and Zabuza are also top notch.
It's moving along just fine, regardless of the otakus nay saying.
However, the pronunciation of chakra (with the ch sound rather than the sh) is horribly irritating.
Neon Genesis Evangelion Good but not as earth shaking as I've been led to believe. And the lead makes me think "I'm just a coooooooooooooooooook!" every time he speaks.
Teen Titans
Deadly Aurora Borealis! The return of Dr. Light! And he still gets no respect!
Kole: For a super villain you're kind of a weakling aren't you?
Beast Boy: Haven't we usually kicked his butt by now?
Raven: You're a sad little man, aren't you? Light: ...uh huh.
With this episode, the Doom Patrol ep, the Titans East ep, the all around awesomeness of Speedy, and the Red Star appearance this show continues its roll.
No need to comment on DBZ, we've all been there.
Oh and you should all be ashamed if you missed Lucy Daughter of the Devil. H. Jon Benjamin is a man among boys.
I've never seen the dub of Evangelion before now, and all I can say is Shinji's voice is exactly what I imagined an American Shinji would sound like. And I liked the Band of Seven concept on Inuyasha. The problem was, they treated all but two of them like cannon fodder. Only Bankotsu and Jukotsu were treated like they were tough. The others were just standing in line to die. Also, for a team, the Band of Seven used very little teamwork. And no, no one really likes Koga. The thing to remember is, he's a device, not a character. Because he doesn't have any reservations about expressing his feelings, it brings the debate about Inuyasha and Kagame into the open.
Are they still showing Justice League? They aired a few episodes of the new season and then suddenly in its timeslot was some stupid-looking Bobo show.
Man, I haven't bothered to watch anything on Adult Swim in MONTHS.

Indeed, Fullmetal Alchemist is without hyperbole THE best anime series of all time.
The movie's equally fantastic as well.

I was very despondent over the loss of Megas XLR. THAT was a great show. It was one of the more brilliant and clever animated series I can remember since Freakazoid.
FYI, Haley Joel Osment and Michelle Rodriguez are both featured VA's on IGPX. I believe Osment is the voice of the lead character, Takeshi(?).

Ekedolphin. I'm just going to tell you right now. STOP WATCHING Inuyasha. If you don't, you are going to regret it big time. You'll save your sanity, I promise.
As for Kikyo...if she's dead, then where's her body?
Slow setup, good end, but God in Heaven does ANYBODY like Koga? The best I've heard is tolerable but he wastes every moment he's in. The guy's just asinine in his existence.
I love how everyone magically forgets that Kouga and his wolves MURDERED an entire village. Just more symbolism of Rumiko Takahashi being a bad and overrated storyteller.

Yup, more and more, the nazi anime otaku snobs continue to lose their ammo over the English version of Naruto.
Original names? Check.
Sexy and harem jutsu? Check.
Faithful to Japanese English translation? Check.
Quality voice actors? Double check.
FYI, Steven Jay Blum (Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop, Mugen from Samurai Champloo, Roger Smith from Big O, Darcia from Wolf's Rain, and Onizuka from GTO) is the English voice of Zabuza. Blum is also the writer of the English ADR for the show.

Cartoon Network hates ratings. Justice League won't be back until January for no reason at all.
I tried to give Naruto a chance, I really did. I hated Naruto's voice, but the rest of the cast didn't seem so bad. Then I caught the episode where they edited out the Naruto/Sauske accidental kiss and I thought to myself - are the editors really that homophobic? And do I want to be in any way supporting that? So I'm perfectly happy sticking with the Sub. Naruto can suck it.
The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn't.
And if our transcendental "if" should find a final floor Then man will know the death of God where wonder was before

Well all the otaku KNEW they were going to make Haku a GIRL. And they would cut out all the lines of Haku admiring Zabuza's body. Basically the homoerotic overtones of the relationship, all of which were left intact.
Also, they left the implication of the Naruto/Sasuke kiss in. Big deal, we didn't see 2 12 year olds share an open-mouth kiss. The only people I think that are really pissed about this are yaoi obsessed fan-girls.
Eh, it was two seconds of the show that would have seemed to take more work to edit out than just to leave in - therefore a deliberate decision to cut it had to have been made. It really isn't a big deal, but it annoyed me enough to skip the show in the future.
On top of that I just don't understand watching a TV show that's been "Edited for Content". It works for watching some of my favorite movies on TV because I can just ignore the changes to the movie and the commercials in the background until my favorite scenes come on. For a twenty minute tv show though? I'd rather just sit down and watch it full and unedited.

I'm pleasantly surprised, because I expected the dub to take a little bit away from the series, but so far it hasn't been all that bad. The thing with Eva is that it takes a few episodes to really get going. I remember when I first saw the series thinking that it wasn't anything special, but then after the first three or four episodes I was consistently blown away by it.
I really don't think a quick cut away takes a lot of effort for the kiss. It doesn't take much away because they DID let you know what happened they just didn't show you so they aren't in trouble.
Don't look at me, just cause I was raised Protestant doesn't mean I understand the logistics of it all.
And Vile1, Megas ran out of a steam during several points in its second season. The mirror universe, return of Campbell, and G Force were the only highlights.
I'd also know if Steven David Blum Jay Lucas were opening a yogurt stand. I'm like his living IMDB.
I'm annoyed at how characters on Naruto aren't allowed to "kill" eachother or "die" which lessens the impact when someone is threatened with being "defeated" or "destroyed." But this is the trend with all children's shows, I think, which means that I need to remind myself that I am watching a children's show on a network for children.
In the first episode on Cartoon Network, Naruto clearly threatened to "KILL" Mizuki.
And for one thing, the manga-ka of Naruto, Kishimoto, never kills anyone anyway. He doesn't have the balls. All he does is give people "PROVERBIAL" death sequences. But oh, we go back to them and they are still alive.
Originally posted by ICEMANI have never seen Evangelion until it started airing on AS. I like what I see so far. And I WAS watching FMA until it was unadvertily spoiled for me.
And I don't know but has Teen Titans ever had a bad episode? Because I've never seen one.

Beast Boy as a dog, Cyborg's car ep, and Beast Boy as a dog spring to mind very quickly.
I'm also not a fan of Robin handing Deathstroke his ass.

Point taken.
And you sure don't like Beast Boy as a dog. And I can understand Robin beating down Deathstroke, just if Deathstroke gets his job back.:)
Behold the "Wise" Words of Renegade Raine, the Bishounen Hunter:

I dunno, I'm actually kind of disappointed with the dubbers, except for Tazuna. I know they could have done FAR worse with the casting choices (ala One Piece), but there's a couple of voices that have my sister and I shaking our heads. And maybe it's just me (and it seems to be so far), but I can't believe the voice for Haku is too feminine for even HIM. I probably would have appreciated Zabusa's VA a little more if the voice weren't so recognizable I just can't help thinking of Spike everytime he speaks. I even watched a couple of the dubs before I started downloaded the subs...and I was so much happier with their voice acting.
I just know I'm going to be disappointed in Orochimaru's voice already, even if it isn't for a pretty long while yet. Although I got a kick out of IMDB listing Tony Danza as his VA for a while.
But since my brother can't quite read yet, he loves the fact that he can actually tell what the hell they're saying. So, I still have a reason to watch the dub, since it's resulted in some fun times for us.
