Finally Denver manages to beat their second half woes, getting a great interception to give them a second chance and going on to RUN THE BALL for the win. The game never would've been that close if the Broncos hadn't insisted on passing in the third and netting three straight 3-and-outs.
It probably comes from watching two very good Run First teams over the past few years (Denver, Carolina) but it seems to me that every time I see a team let a game get away from them this year it's when they abandon the run. Hell, look at Indy - a team that arguably has one of the best passing attacks in the league and they're unbeaten only because they stuck with the run.

Amen, teams can win with the pass, but they generally don't get very far in the playoffs.
I would say the Rams were the exception, but they had one of the best pass catching RBs ever and used passes to him like the run anyway.
I'm just loving the Bears run right now, winning with great D, pretty good running, and a QB who isn't making mistakes. This is how the Bears are supposed to win, and Urlacher is finally showing everything he was supposed to be all along.
Likewise, hey look...Ricky can still run! And Ronnie Brown can run! Even if it was against a pretty crappy Saints defense, the 1-2 punch worked beautifully and finally how it was schemed up.
And Aaron Brooks can run...backwards.

I think it might've been Football Outsiders, or maybe ESPN, but someone invoked the cult of Jake Plummer's Moustache in their power rankings. Clearly, we have the reason for their relative success this season.
It's third and four with the game on the line Andy! RUN THE DAMN BALL. You've got a lot more options on fourth and one or fourth and two than you do at fourth and four.
Here's hoping the Colts don't have a brain fart tomorrow night and forget to run. I've already seen that game a few times, and it wasn't pretty.

And now De La Salle has dropped its second game in a row, losing 30-12 to Clovis West High School (Fresno). This is De La Salle's first home loss since 1987.
