Show Me BBQ Sauce. Only available in the Middle of Missouri, made in a basement and just better then any of your pansy sauces. But aside from that, I agree homemade is the only way to go, made with a good microbrewery dark beer.
A strict constructionist interprets the Constitution according to the language and original intent of the text at the time of its writing, in much the same way as a fundamentalist views the Bible. Fortunately, for strict constructionists, they have been endowed by God with the superhuman gift of being able to read the minds of people who died 200 years ago. Naturally, they use this power only for good - America (The Book)
Homemade - every batch I make is different - it just depends on what ingredients I have on hand. I can't remember the last time I actually bought a bottle of BBQ sauce.
Looks like Jo Dee Messina wants to fight Gretchen Wilson for Shelby Lynne's old seat at the end of the bar down at the Last Call Bar & Grill.....
There is this local joint in north Phoenix called KC Lovejoy's and hot damn! do they make a mighty fine sauce (back me up, fellow Valley W's). In fact, I hadn't eaten from there in probably a year, and just got that stuff while watching college football this past Saturday.
HBK: You’re flat broke aren’t you? MJ: Please let me wrestle on RAW! HBK: Fine, but I ain’t wearin’ no fruity tassels. MJ: Are these your mirror pants? HBK: Give me those!
Sweet Baby Ray's, 'cuz I get bottle after bottle free after double/triple coupons. Free beats homemade, and the pineapple juice Ray uses is something I just can't match. I have about a dozen bottles in the basement, that's after I gave a couple dozen bottles to the local food pantry.
JR's is pretty darned good, but better on ribs or pork chops than chicken.
I'll try anything I get for under a quarter after coupons, and will just as happily do without any sauce, but rub in salt& pepper, or splash a little Soy Vey Teriaki on it.
I've also become fond of marinating in Caesar Salad dressing.
They used to sell JR's sauce at Zellers stores in Canada. Bought a bottle once. It was actually pretty good, not that I know the slightest thing about authentic BBQ.
I normally just buy the Kraft Chick'n'rib sauce, or maybe Bullseye. Nothing too exciting.

Same here. And the Reese's Big Cup ain't half-bad either, though I'm not crazy about the 20 other variations they've introduced over the last little while.
