Hey. I just turned on PTI about 2 minutes into the program, and Tony's not there. He's been replaced by "Sally." What the dilly, yo?

Well i don't know for sure, didn't watch PTI, and didn't hear the radio show today either. But yesterday on the radio show they said it was the first time that he had ever called the morning of the show and say he was too sick to do the show so I imagine he was really sick, but I don't know. Was he on PTI yesterday? Was he on the radio show today?

He announced today on the radio show that he would miss PTI, since he had a column to write for the Post for tomorrow's paper (assuming Skins related).

It was a BAD day to miss the show, as Tony did Snackdown! today.

Fortunately, it's Friday, so you have all weekend to listen to the archive on the ESPN radio web site.

(Yes, He was on PTI yesterday. He constantly mentioned how sick he was on the show and Wilbon mocked him for it.)

It's possible Sally Jenkins was the host today, instead of Aldridge or Dupree (who was the 5 good minutes), as a way to salute her winning Sportscolumnist of the Year (as Mr. TOny said today).

Is Snackdown! the best bit on the show? If not, it's pretty close.

I just wanna know...

What's up with Chris Moore again today? Thank goodness I was busy at work and didn't get to listen. If Mr. Tony is gonna be out, please get Joe D. instead.

Now the question remains: Will Tony be on PTI tonight?

Chris Moore seems to work okay with Chuck Wilson, but his filling in for Mr. Tony just doesn't cut it. The only bit I heard was the "what boxing match would you like to see?" instead of Tyson/Lewis. It could have been funny, but fell pretty flat.

He can be funny at times, but the same impressions over and over (Vitale, the Irishman, the French Canadian) get stale quickly. His schtick with Wilson (straight man/funny man) is a good combo, although not as good as Wilson/Brown/Bruno in the really old ESPN radio days.

-- Has anyone here pre-ordered Mr. Tony's book yet?

Hairston is a younger, more versatile but more injury prone Tom Goodwin. If he wasn't good enough to start for the O's (no offense), he probably shouldn't be good enough to start for the Cubs. LF:
