God bless the men of 2nd Bn, 127th Inf, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, WI Army Nat'l Guard...good luck, and come home soon.
Observations:
1.) It is kinda cool to be able to flip between rasslin' shows on a Monday night again...even if one has a ways to go to match the others' quality.
2.) I sense more Mankind than Kane in the Abyss character, except for the early-Kane-esque silence. (Blatant disclaimer: I have worked w/ Abyss for us, and he might be the nicest "name" available today. Hella-cool guy. But then again, I liked The Honky Tonk Man.)
3.) I like the overall TV look of TNA, especially the boom crane shots w/ the hanging logo, but the video screens need serious work. They're way too small, and even worse, WAAAAAAAYYYYY too dim. Compare 'em to WWE's TitanTron, and...well, there's no comparison. That's GOTTA get fixed.
4.) Nash vs. Jarrett, volume XXXVII? No thanks. Make me care about some new guys...but granted, I'll have a hard time catching the show until after the NFL season (work concerns, don'tcha know.)
5.) Still, I'm hoping they succeed. Wouldn't hurt us, being NWA-affiliated, and quality competition seems to be the only thing that kicks Vince in the ass to produce quality television (and we use the term loosely.) :-)
Something really needs to be done with these triple-threat X-division matches. A lot of great moves, but awkwardly paced. They're reminding me of kung fu movies where twelve guys surround the hero and then stand around pacing back and forth until their turn to fight comes up.
