All the video packages and promos have been great so far. They are doing a good job of selling TNA and Bound For Glory.
That said, I think the matches are leaving a little to be desired. Another X Division triple threat this week...which was good, but still too short. Matches got a lot more time on the online Impacts .
Another non-finish main event this week, disappointing. But its probably for the better since they should save the real version of that match for PPV.
Fans seemed pretty indifferent toward the world title feud. If TNA had any sense they'd end it quickly or at least put Raven in the main event to make it a triple threat.
Another good Impact this week. Better than Smackdown at the very least.
I tuned in to see the Ortiz/Jarrett/Nash schmozz. Looks decent. They're making Tito look better than the wrestlers, though.
I WAS intrigued by AMW/Dud..er..Team 3D at first, but I got pissed off and changed the channel once they went to commercial. Very similar to last week's commercial interruption of the X-Division 3-Way.

This episode was a bit better than the debut, still nothing incredible. The sound mixing continues to be the biggest annoyance for me; they need to tone down the crowd noise or turn up the commentary or something, as it really worsens the overall production, which otherwise looks pretty good.
I could have done without the three or four video packages. Don't get me wrong, they look great, but I'd rather see a backstage vignette or promo to advance storylines rather than a generic video about great Abyss is.
That said, the triple threat match was solid and though I'm surprised they put AMW-Team 3D on free television so quickly, all four guys worked well together.
Not a bad show, I'll definitely keep watching, but I wish they'd do something about the damn sound.
The main thing that bothers me about the sound is that the ring makes way too much noise. You can hear all these annoying little squeaks and things when the wrestlers hit the ropes or the corners.
Also I think the last episode is painfully symbolic of how Impact needs more time. Another half hour at the very least. It felt a little rushed.
I'll echo the sentiment about the commercial interruptions. It's like they've got an hour-long commercial break with bits of "show" intersperced. (bleh)
The ring action was all nice, but it did feel rushed.
I think one problem the show facesis that it has a dual goal: introduce viewers to the performers, and continue/build storylines. So far it's been doing well on both fronts, though (by keeping it simple).
The intelligent discussion has come to a close. Now get back to work.
Had to work on Saturday night, but I caught the replay at about twenty minutes in. X-Division match was pretty good. Can't say I liked Tito Ortiz just randomly deciding to get involved in the Jarrett/Nash altercation, and he was much harsher on Nash than he was on Jarrett.
AMW/Dudleyz was pretty good, although I didn't care for the disqualification ending. The post-match beatdown was brutal-- D'Von got up to at least 1.2 Muta, maybe higher. Why the heck Nash didn't intervene I don't know. Must've torn his quadricep between the Coke machine and the entrance.

I think you're overrating D-Von's (admittedly quite nice) blade job. You're not supposed to go OVER 1.0 Muta.
Nice to see they think so much of Sonny Siaki so much they put SONNY SAIKI all over his entrance video.
Those dumbass fans in the Impact Zone have to be the dumbest dumbasses this side of ECW fans. It's too bad they can't go have a TV taping in front of a some REAL wrestling fans instead of some jaded smarks hoping like hell to (a) get on TV and (b) "be part of the show."
I was confused that Jeff Jarrett wasn't appearing in the final segment of the show...until he made a run-in during the final segment of the show, and then everything made sense again. THE NEW FACE OF PROFESSIONAL SHUT THE HELL UP
I see Konnan STILL takes getting whipped into the corner like a pussy. Can he go any softer into the turnbuckles? He just eases himself in there. I've seen WWE divas go into the corner harder than K-Dawg.
And what's the deal w/ throwing his shoes? How did that (lame) spot originate?

Worst part was Tenay selling it huge and calling it -- completely seriously, as far as I could tell -- "his patented move!"
Well, if they were patent leather shoes ...
Maybe Konnan just wants to be American Maid.
As for the fans, I can't blame 'em too much for acting out if TNA is egging them on by putting the camera on the most "distinctive" ones. Are we going to have to look at Action Figure Girl and that guy in the golfer outfit every week?

Billy Gunn is now known as Kip JAMES? (Note: Before last week's Impact, I haven't seen TNA since the first Fox Sports episode.) I know he has to change his ring name for legal reasons, but you've already got Road Dogg calling himself BG James (which I know he's been doing for years). Were all the other last names in the known universe taken? How about Kip, well, ANYTHING ELSE?!

I think TNA gave him the "James" last name cause they also trademarked the name "The James Gang". I guess thats gonna be the new New Age Outlaws.

According to the Torch, this week's IMPACT rating came in at 0.8 again, but the breakdown shows it had more viewers than last week: from 900,000 to 750,000.

Right, and AJ Styles wears tights so he MUST be a ripoff of Hardcore Holly. Really though this is about as dumb as when people were saying Goldberg was an Austin ripoff because he's bald. They're nothing alike, maybe you should watch something more than once before deciding you know everything about it.
