First, they bring back the nWo. -- I said, "Stupid idea. Get rid of the angle as soon as possible. The nWo had lost their luster a long time before WCW went under, so WHY do you think you can glean any more heat from them?"
Secondly, they bring back Paul Heyman as Brock Lesnar's manager. -- I face-planted, grumbling, "Great. Next, you'll have some OTHER 40-year-old who still lives in his mother's house and, astoundingly, manages to have LESS personality than Paul does!"
Next, they split up the roster. They put a show on UPN with a -lot- of big names. Too bad it's a station that a lot of people can't get, even on digital cable. -- I said, "Very, very bad idea and none too thoughtful. It's only saving grace is that MAYBE it'll get lesser-knowns/used more air time, but what about the people who CAN'T get UPN?? We're supposed to do without or get what we can from Excess and online recaps? That really fu(king sucks. Drop this angle, now!"
Next, we have the Hulk Turns Face angle. -- I said, "NO!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!? He was supposed to die a lonely old man, having realized his 'has-been' status in life after NO ONE would hire him when WCW fell through.. But, you can't let the world be happy, can you!?"
Currently, Hulk is the World Champion. -- I'm screaming, clawing at my eyes, "WHY, GOD?? Whyyyyyyyyyy!? As if it weren't bad enough you brought him back, giving him MORE fuel to flame his pathetic 'I'm the King of the World' delusions.. You had to give him MORE glory to chew on for years?? THERE IS NO GOD! I.. I AM AN ATHEIST!"
Someone tell me that things are going to get better. Tell me this is just a valley among the peaks. I.. I think I'm losing my faith in the WWF...
eh. She's entitled to her opinions and just wants some reassurance that things will get better. I know she's not the only one thinking these things.
There are some good things out there Wyn. RVD may be getting a push soon... edge and christian may be revitalizing the tag team ranks (if the bookers ever straighten up) UT is kicking some major ass... and the cw division may be heading upwards.... lose your faith in the wwf.... but dont lose faith in the fact that wrestling will turn around.
I am the JOBBER TO THE STARS. You better remember that.
Cardinals 9W 10L (as of 4-21) 4 losses in a row against the brewers? what the hell?
Thanks, SerWolfe. I'd be stoked to see RVD getting more of a push. He's so insanely over, even without the push. I'd also like to see Edge and Christian team back up. I'd wet my pants if they did something to put a little more emphasis on cruisers. God, I love cruiserweights and luchadores. (Also, thanks for standing up for me.)

Dear ManiacalClown,
In case you hadn't noticed, this is a forum. And, guess what the purpose of a forum is; that's right, statingopinions (among other things). Maybe, just maybe, if you're sick of hearing about people being upset over things, you should consider what the titles of threads might mean before clicking on them. Just a suggestion.
Love, Wyn
P.S. Is that a pr0n-site that you're advertising as your sig? Tsk, tsk.

Your welcome wyn.... to be honest i actually value your opinions a lot on here. You dont flame and what you have to say is interesting. I have seen some i want to just fly over just like some of mine are like that.
If some of these matches the wwf is putting up for the cw division is any indication then i certainly cant wait.

Wyn, you might try not watching for a while, like I am. Or tape the shows and fast forward through the crap. Or maybe just watch Heat, where they still have decent wrestling from time to time.
Eventually they'll drain every last cent out of the "WWF as WCW" angle and go on to something else. It's a good short-term move, but I think they know that in the long run it's bad for business.
I did try to watch for about 10 minutes tonight. The "What's" annoyed me to the point where I turned on the closed-captioning and muted the TV. But the "What's" are even on closed captioning! I guess it would be unfair to deny deaf people access to "What?"
Follow the advice of WTF13, if you don't like it turn it off. WWF is supposed to make you want to watch it, and apparently for you they aren't doing a good job.

Alright, I'm sorry, but this annoys me to no end. Yeah, let's pool all the bitching in one thread, so that all the rest of the board can be open to talk about what a great job is being done by the WWF! We can have all sorts of threads talking about all the cool stuff the WWF is doing, and just do a big damned happy dance and group hug.
Someone has some opinions on the WWF and their current direction, and dares to say on a WRESTLING MSG BOARD what they are. Good. I don't agree with a lot of what she has to say personally, especially as relates to Mr. Paul Heyman (damn right he gets to be called Mr. He is the coolest man in wrestling right now except for Booker T), but that's the point of these boards. I'd have rather spent this post debating the merits of her opinions, but since some people seem to be determined to purge any negative opinions from the boards I feel it necessary to say this instead: If you don't like it, stop reading it. Instead of "bitch, bitch, bitch"ing about people daring to not be happy with the product. Surely there's got to be a "Shiny Happy WWF Fans" board somewhere that only allows positive posting. If not, maybe go start one.

Hiya, spf. I'm sorry you disagree with me about Paul Heyman, but, hey... that's what makes the world so spicy. All the different flavors. I just got a bad dose of his commentary (which I've heard he doesn't really care to do, anyhow) and have had that nasty taste in my mouth ever since. I've been -trying- to open my mind to him, but now, they give him this lech angle and it hasn't helped my efforts. I wish he still had ECW and I'm sure he's really a great guy. But, the fact that he (probably) still lives with his mom at his age.. kinda scares me.
Since I curdled your milk with my opinions on Paul Heyman, I won't even start on Booker T. I hate him more. I think that Hogan/Nash/Hall are the most despised by myself, and Spike/Booker T run a close second. But, that's me. If you wanna like them, more power to you.

Lastly, I only asked if it was pr0n. I didn't know, so I asked. Now, I know. Thanks.

There was actually a point where I thought that this board was a little too lovey-dovey with everything the WWF did and if you didn't like it you were considered a jaded smart. I have been on some boards that all you got was bitching ALL the time *cough* TOA *cough*.
I think we have a good mix here and usually the marking out or the bitching is well thought out and not just of the RVD RULEZ or CHUCK AND BILLY SUCK CAUSE THEY ARE FAGS type.
Personally, I am glad to see some bitching. I was beginning to think that I was the only one who thinks that HOGAN SUX!
hehe
Bubbles? Oh come on Sharon! I’m Ozzy Osbourne the Prince of Fucking Darkness. Evil, evil, more fucking evil not a boatload of fucking bubbles man.
Wyn: Both the nWo and red-and-yellow Hogan angles are generating pretty big pops...live at the arenas, anyway.
Take it from someone who was at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee for No Way Out 2002...when that old p0rn music hit, and Hall, Nash and Hogan came strutting out in the black-and-white...lemme tell ya, the roof darn near blew off the place. And although they got their heel boo's when they put over McMahon in their promo...there was plenty of "welcome back" luster up till then. Heck, the place was even chanting for Hogan.
And now that he dresses like Hollywood, but he's back to Hulk...the crowds are still going nuts. Heck, Hulkamania logo T-shirts are selling again.
Plus, even Hogan can see this is his last run...and this time, I seriously doubt he has any of the political power he held in his last WWF run, to say nothing of the medieval fiefdom that was 1990's WCW. The belt is still under Vince's control, not Mr. Bollea's.
This one isn't based on workrate, to be sure...but capitalizing on the 18-34 demographic's memories of yesterday's wrestling...and simply put, it's helping to draw money. Therefore, it works in Vince's eyes.
(Geez, can you tell I'm a bit of an nWo mark, or what?)
Oh, and if WWF turns you off...find a local indy fed to support, and yell your butt off for the boys/girls in the back, trying to make it in this wacky biz!

Personally, I LOVED Heyman on commentary. He always gave the product a little more air of legitimacy I thought, much more than Captain Puppy Power Lawler does, who is trying his damndest to kill any fledgling credibility in the women's division. And might I ask what exactly is wrong with living with your mother at an advanced age?!
As for Booker...if you didn't get it after the "AND I HAVE A SWORD!" line...well nothing I can say is going to alter your opinion of the master of the spinaroonie.

I didn't like Heyman's commentary either, though it might have been better if he hadn't been involved with the Invasion angle. Also, I just find him obnoxious. He's better where he's at now.
I'm no fan of Lawler either, just because his act is old.
First, they bring back the nWo. -- I said, "Stupid idea. Get rid of the angle as soon as possible. The nWo had lost their luster a long time before WCW went under, so WHY do you think you can glean any more heat from them?" Well..when they were brought in, it was fun, yet nothing really came from it. Is that a bad thing though? At least we didn't get the shit that people expected from it.
Secondly, they bring back Paul Heyman as Brock Lesnar's manager. -- I face-planted, grumbling, "Great. Next, you'll have some OTHER 40-year-old who still lives in his mother's house and, astoundingly, manages to have LESS personality than Paul does!"
Paul is without a doubt a controversial person, and it's easy to hate him. They know this and play off this. No other person in the WWF right now could be an agent/manager like Paul is..you say he has no personality. Others say he has an abundance..
Next, they split up the roster. They put a show on UPN with a -lot- of big names. Too bad it's a station that a lot of people can't get, even on digital cable. -- I said, "Very, very bad idea and none too thoughtful. We're supposed to do without or get what we can from Excess and online recaps? That really fu(king sucks. Drop this angle, now!" Yeah, this must suck if you cannot get one of the shows. I guess the expect more stations to pick up the channels they are one. Time will tell on this one. The split itself is a good idea. We got some fresh ideas and feuds out of it.

THERE IS NO GOD! I.. I AM AN ATHEIST!" Funnily enough, the world SEEMS happy..Hogan gets his last run, he seems humble enough and is soaking it all up. In return many fans love him again. Alas, those that still hate him will have to wait until their kidney stones start playing up and get some relief from the pain of seeing him. Someone tell me that things are going to get better. Tell me this is just a valley among the peaks. I.. I think I'm losing my faith in the WWF...
Welcome to the real world. Not everything they do can make all of us happy. Me, I just go with the flow. Once I turn on that tv I just love to mark out, and see the good points. Hence the nWo, Hogan and all weren't bad things to me. But also realise we are getting some good things out of all this. RVD, a revived Taker (not talking about one match, just his persona), Cruiserweights, more interesting feuds..
This post is getting long enough as it is, but to illustrate: On the SD prior to the PPV, Test and Farooq had a match over nothing. Before the split and all this would have gone over to the ppv. Now, because about all of the ppv matches had an actual storyline behind them, they just had the match on SD and get it over with..

I think Heyman still has the ability to deliver one of the best interviews in the business. I still think the Alliance could have been saved if Paul was on mic duty rather than Steph. He just has that natural ability to deliver promos laced with enough truth to make them really sting, and get the crowd into it to boot.
I also really love the Split angle, simply because it gives more of the lower card guys more TV time. The shows really do seem fresher to me because of the "new" faces, and less of the old guys that wind me up no end. I can understand how people who can only get one channel would be peeved though, that's a shame but don't pan the angle because you're missing out on half of it.
I'm really liking the product right now (which may admittedly be more to do with the fact that I'm going to a live event in a fortnight ) but I fully support the right to bitch about whatever makes someone unhappy with the product, that is, after all, the impetus for discussions on this board half the time. Maybe this recent backlash (no pun intended) was more to do with smarks all over the net saying stupid stuff yesterday rather than Wyn's completely reasonable post, a lot of people copped some flack yesterday that they didn't deserve.
