I was discussing this at work last night, I prefer the Windows Media Player. Suits me fine, but my coworker swears by REALPLAYER. Realplayer always seems to crash whenever I was using it.
"He is the most overrated piece of crap in the league. He bitched and whined after he got his ass beaten in New England last year, so the NFL changed the rules. Then he got his ass beaten in New England again. Every year he's the top MVP candidate. Every year he's supposed to be the best. Every year he's going to carry the Colts to the Super Bowl. And every single year he goes to New England and gets his ass beaten. And his brother's a whiny little bitch." -A friend of mine, on Peyton Manning
Windopws Media Player, because it's right there. I hate fussing with computer stuff and avoid messing with it as much as possible.

Yep. I go with WMP since it's the default program for all the music and videos that I open. I've never had a desire to change or any problems with Windows Media Player.
I try to stick with Windows Media Player, but sometimes I have to go to Quicktime for reasons which I don't entirely understand, being rather ignorant of a lot of computer-ish things.
For music I use iTunes for my general library of songs, and I was Winamp 2.95 to play single tracks to judge if they are worthy of being put in my general library. I also use Winamp for other stuff that I don't want in my iTunes library like movie clips, TV and wrestling themes, standup comedy, and my collection of Gregorian chanting, traditional Indian folk music, and other weird stuff I only listen to occassionally.

Windows Media player for .wmf files (I may be remembering the extension wrong. This is a note to self to check this when you get home), Quicktime for .mpg files. I also watch DVDs in Media Player, because I am obsessive about programming the Title (track) Listing, and Media Player displays it at all times.
I listen to MP3s with either MusicMatch Jukebox (when I want to set up a bunch of songs in a row to play), or iTunes (when I want it to randomly go through my playlist).

iTunes for music, WMP for selected videos, Quicktime for Quicktime movies, Media Player Classic for other videos (including Real Media). PowerDVD for, well, you get it.

I use iTunes exclusively for playing music - Not only because I own an iPod, but because I'm a freak when it comes to organising my music. I spent three days re-sizing all the album cover graphics in my library so they would all be 300x300. I also file tag songs with ratings, genre, and special comments when the song in question has appeared on one of my 85 mix tapes or 45 mix cd's.
When i installed my iPod, iTunes became my default music player and when I installed my DVD writer Nero Showtime became my default video player. I've been happy with both so I continue to use them.
I've almost always used Winamp for all my audio needs, and once it started supporting video, I've never really used anything else, save RealPlayer when I need to play a file of that format. WinDVD for my DVD needs, Windows Media Player for ASFs and WMVs (but only until Winamp starts supporting those too, assuming that day ever comes).
Since only James has mentioned it, I better also stick up for VLC (videolan.org). Always my first choice for practically everything and it makes QuickTime Player totally unnecessary. I think the only thing it can't play are Real. http://videolan.org/vlc/features.html
It's also a lot friendlier with DVDs than Apple's DVD Player app.
Windows Media Player. A friend of mine tried to convert me to WinAmp, but it crashed on me virtually every time I tried to use it, so I said "Screw it, I'm goin' back to WMP"-- and I've never had any problems with it at all. (Except it makes a lousy-ass CD ripper.)

I go with iTunes, but that's because I'm an Apple devotee. Well, I also love iTunes because it's easy to navigate through your library. I've yet to find a system that is as easy to use and easy on the eyes as iTunes.

Simple. I want to because I want change. There are too many things I want to see happen in my town, and not nearly enough movement (if any at all) in the direction they need to go.
