Big show at OVW tonight. No, I'm not going to go all nuts like some of the online reviewers and claim each week's taping was the greatest wrestling show in the universe, but it was definitely a fun show this week.

There was a big box by the annoucers' desk as the show began, which contained a surprise Kenny Bolin had brought into the show that week. This was actually set up so that the back of the box was right up against a hidden side entrance used by the Danny Davis and the technical unit, so someone didn't have to wait in the box all night, they could just go into the box when it was time to break out and fight Bobby Lashley.

And who was in the box?

C'mon, you've gotta know in your hearts who you've all been waiting for to return to the ring as a bitter injury left him sidelined a while back.

Yes. That's right!

The Boogeyman! Or more like Darth Maul Boogeyman, with the red and black makeup on his face (but, at least, no horns).

Boogeyman fee-fi-foo-fum'd around the ring, beat up on Alexis Laree, and then had a match with Lashley. Lashley pretty much beat the crap out of him for the end of the show.

Beyond that surprise, Paul Birchall had a dark match against Stevie Richards (Stevie won, btw), Rob Conway interuptted a match and fought with Deuce Shade, Doug Basham had a match with CM Punk, Brent Albright and Ken Doane had another match for the TV title, Cliff Compton vs. Elijah Burke, and Alexis Laree vs. Beth Phoenix and Shelly.

Lots of fun.

It sounds like the best show EVER! Paul Heyman has really outdone himself this week!

I love how Boogeyman was this big surprise and then he got his ass handed to him. But it was Lashley, who is going to be the next "Next Big Thing," minus the quitting and NFL and all.

Why it's the most fantabulous, wonderous, magical, musical wonkalicious episode ever!

Heh.

No, seriously, I think it'll come off as an entertaining episode this weekend, and the girls really went out of their way to put on a good match before the Boogeyman run-in.

It wasn't completely a squash of the Boogeyman, though, since he did get to beat up a girl and an exhausted Chris Cage (who had been fighting with Aaron Stevens at ringside during Alexis' match with Phoenix and Shelly). Then again, that may not be saying much.

One thing is for sure - the audience LOVES Lashley. And they finally turned him face with this week's show.

Jesus, you guys say that Vince likes Big Men too much. What the hell has Bautista ever done to deserve a Lesnar push. Lesnar is not my favorite anyone or anything, that's no secret, but he shows growth and development, at least.
