Anyone catch the best hour of comedy anywhere? Last night was the season premiere of Curb Your Enthusiasm and the series premiere of Extras. CYE was great...is the running theme this season going to be Larry trying to find out if he's really adopted or not?
Extras was absolutely hilarious. Ricky Gervais still had some David Brent going on, but it seems like his character in this show is a little more of a jerk. Anyway, Kate Winslet pantomiming the dirty phone call was incredible.
I tell you, with Family Guy, Extras, CYE, and Robot Chicken, Sundays are turning out to be my favorite day of the week to watch TV. Plus, football is on!
"Oh, I'm a sad little man? I've thrown a bloody kettle over a pub...what have you done?"
I loved Kate Winslet as dirty, greedy actress. The whole bit was even funnier given that she was dressed as a nun the whole time. I'm suprised she was willing to make so much fun of herself.
Is there actually a sandwich that can be made out of whitefish, cream cheese, and onions, or was the whole point how disgusting that combination sounds?
What were the odds that Family Guy and Extras would both make My Left Foot jokes on the same night? And does every episode of the new season have to feature naked Peter just so Fox is forced to air the "the following contains animated nudity" disclaimer?
"Now that you've built up the courage to get into the gym, let me give you five reasons why you should put in the time to train with consistency: 1. Increased strength 2. Improved self-confidence 3. Injury prevention 4. Self-discipline 5. Sex (Trust me, you'll have a better shot with the ladies if you're in shape.)" -- Making the Game, pp. 14 - 15
I really liked this one. Not only the best use of Donna in awhile, but also Tom. Then again they are almost always more effective when they team up. Leslie: I've taught them too well. I've created a mob of little Leslie Knope monsters.
