Wow ... we all figured that it was coming sooner or later, but TNA (tnawrestling.com) has announced that the tag team formerly known as the Dudley Boyz are signed, sealed & delivered ...
Very smart on TNA's part by announcing this, as opposed to having them "surprise" us on 10/01 ...
Those pictures look really minor league. Bubba's picture looks like it came from his driver's license.

A thread updating the EWR rosters has them listed as "The Dudley Brothers - Brother Bubba and Brother D-Von". Consider the source, but those buggers tend to be right more often than not.

That seems to counter the online news of the WWE suit banning the Dudley and Bubba useage. But they can call themselves the Mulkeys, and everyone will know exactly who they are and chant whatever they like.

Haven't they been going by the team name "Team 3D" at shows lately? I don't know about their solo names.
I think I read that the EWR updaters thought it would be easier to keep them as the Dudleys for now rather than change to their real names and confuse people before it was official.
Doing a search for US trademarks, I see they are trying to trademark "Team 3D" or "The Deadly Brothers", "Brother Devon Deadly" and "Brother Ray Deadly", who have a finishing manuever of the "Deadly Death Drop" (redundant).

I think these guys along with the Dudleyz, Rhino, Samoa Joe and possibly Aries and Strong are among TNA's smarter acquisition moves this year. The problem is, with all these new wrestlers they are bringing in, they have such a strong roster but not a lot of time to showcase them .
Either way I think the Dudleyz will freshen up a tag team scene in TNA that's growing a little stagnant.

Yeah personally, when their deal with Spike TV was reported I was more disappointed by the length of the show rather than the time of the show. One hour is just not enough time for all their talent. Spike does seem to be behind them though and there is a chance for more time if Spike likes what they see.
As for the tag division, it's still a good division but I don't like it as much as i did a few months ago. I just don't like the Naturals as the champs that much, and losing Triple X was a big blow, although I in no way disagree with a singles push for Daniels. But they certainly have the people there for it to be good. Team Canada can have a good team, although I prefer either Petey or Roode be on the team. Billy/Monty is good as long as Monty is there, although I won't rule out him going singles soon. Elix/Simon could be a solid tag team, and I even enjoyed 3 Live Kru at the last ppv now that the BJ James/Billy thing is over. Along with AMW and Dudleys I think they can get it back together. I also wouldn't mind seeing Shelley and Bentley back together, I really liked that duo until Bentley disappeared.

Seeing as to how sending guys like this back to the "minor leagues" as you put it allows them to have great matches again...I don't think this is much of an insult. I doubt workers like Rhino and Frankie Kazarian are crying about it.
the AMW heel turn makes even more sense now. These guys will benefit from a wicked feud with the D-brothers. Hell, every tag team can benefit from a feud with these guys.
Ofcourse you know there will be lots of fanfare when they win the titles (holding WWE, WCW, ECW, NWA tag titles..not bad) I hope NWA uses them well.
I'm not a fan of the Dudleys, and I shed no tears when they left WWE. I thought their whole deal was pretty played out.
I do think they can freshen up TNA's tag team scene, though, at least in the short term.
They should have good matches with AMW & Team Canada, at least. Maybe the Nats, although I'm not salivating at the prospect or anything. I'm also going to predict that Diamonds in the Rough are gonna get slaughtered within the first week of two (Elix deserves better!).
My question is, how long will it be before we're back to "same old, same old"?

As I put it?! AS I PUT IT?! Thats it I cant work under these conditions! Im leaving!
Seriously, I wasnt saying its an insult- just commenting on how the Dudleys were seemingly on good terms with the biggest spotlight in their industry and suddenly -theyre outta there, to yes; excuse my "diction"; THE MINOR LEAGUES.

Last I heard they were just going to use their real names and be Ray and Devon, "Team 3D".
Bubba Ray tried out "BRD" on one or two indy appearances but I think he's dropped it now.

Though I suppose if they went around calling themselves "The Team Formerly Known as The Dudleys" would be infringing on the WWE trademark.

Nah, Prince Iaukea in WCW already did that.

Hee, maybe for the first couple of weeks they should go the Scott Hall/Kevin Nash route and not go by any names at all. "You people, you know who I am. But you don't know why I'm here."
Honestly, though, I've yet to think of any name they could go by on a permanent basis that doesn't infringe WWE trademark or sound stupid. It'll be a challenge.
Deadly Brothers, by the way, fits into the latter category.

That heel turn happened after Austin had returned in late 2000 and was looking for the driver. Hunter was a babyface at that point, fresh off of his feud with Kurt Angle (which ended up drastically changing WWF, and not for the better).
