(edited by Mr. Boffo on 21.9.05 2118) In the real world, WWE believes that no matter what our race, religious creed or ethnic background in America, we all share the common bond of being Americans. American-Arabs are a part of the fabric of America, and they should be embraced by all of us.
My apologies to those who tried to access the "SMARTASS" site toward the end of the league, but coupling with both Zac's and my business with our careers, and some problems I had with my webspace provider, I/we were unable to update the settings.
With that said, congratulations, Bluth Company! I'm surprized I made it to ninth place...but I guess picking the new LOD as champions really made it count.
Thank you, thank you. If I may cut a victorious heel promo:
I set out with one goal in mind, to dominate this league and grind all the other teams under my heel. I think I did that. I held the cumulative totals number one spot in the league for 7 or 8 weeks in a stranglehold worthy of Triple H himself. I had a few close calls here and there, from Worcester Wrestling Federation in the early weeks and SentonBOMBS in the final weeks, but I came out on top like I knew I would. It wasn't even close. I didn't win the overall game by a longshot but I take pride in proving that I'm better than each and every one of you. I am the Champion of The-W.com League. Bow down.
But the person I really want to give props to, besides myself, is LanceJr. LanceJr started out the game in the number 37th spot and crawled his way all the way up to the top 10, finishing the game in the number 4 spot. That is damned impressive. No one else in the league actually got better as the game went along to the degree LanceJr did. If I could pick a tag team partner, it would be him.
I'm gonna sit out season 5 of the Fantasy game because wrestling is more fun when you're not crunching numbers while you watch, but I think I will return, perhaps in season 6, to defend my title.
Props to Mr. Orquiola and his fantasy-wrestling-picking ability. There was never any doubt that I'd be back for season 5, and I'm just sorry that it seems that Mr. Orquiola is so terrified that I will finally beat him next season that he is bowing out of the race, leaving me no real competition at all. So sad.
Let me tell you something, brother, number one doesn't come to number two. I've got 206 points on you that says you can't lace my boots. But I'll tell you what: You win season 5 and then maybe you can call me out for season 6, Champion vs. Champion. Show me what you got.
Although I do like: Mr. Orquiola!
... ... ... ... ... ...Orquiola!
(And now to put an end to this before CRZ hits the Banish button. I'm sure he's been itching to since the thread started.)
Yeah as for the website, I just got tired of updating it. There were some weeks when I ran out of time too. To make up for it, here's a graphical representation of what the best team was each week.

I would be interested in season 5 if anyone starts it.
By the way, for those aspiring players, PAY ATTENTION to PPV weeks. I was floundering around #20-30 for a while, but then I picked wrestlers based on Summerslam matches, and I moved up to the teens in one week. I of course forgot this coming into Unforgiven, so I dropped a few places last week.
Thanks to Boffo for setting Season 4 up. It was fun.
For all your CZW and Nickels Trivia information. I am now the Sex Division Trivia Champion, and on September 10 I face someone who actually works part time in the WWE! Will I be starstruck, or will I hold him down worse than the WWE holds down Val Venis? STAY TUNED!

As would be for brand only PPVs. For Unforgiven, I picked all RAW people, and I often picked both participants if they're in a specialty match or title match.
My only problem was that the WWE never answered my smarky question I passed along to them TWICE...if the International Heat tapings would count toward the standings. Bastards.

Well, it'll be a lot simpler this time around, as it appears that only RAW and SmackDown! will count (as well as PPVs). Probably because Velocity and Heat will cease to exist. Changes the strategies a bit.
I'll set up the league for Season 5 tonight, and I guess we'll see if anyone joins.
It wasn't bad. Was doing great until they fired Hassan and Daivari. Afterwards I kept forgetting to update my team on Mondays because I've got classes from 10 am until 9 pm. Oh well, if the next season is free I'll probably try again. And actually update...
It was pretty fun. I was upset I didn't catch on to the LOD jobber squasing easy points until about 2 weeks in. I had to much faith in MNM getting those titles back.
Mr Boffo, appreciated all the effort you put in getting all the stats together though. I can't believe I got only 80 points twice heh.
PS: Mr. Boffo your final standing points differ a bit from whats on WWE's page.

You have to look way back in the archives, but they did answer this back in season 3, mentioning one Heat taping in particular. (Masters beat Steele on the Internation heat).
Question: "Hi, in Week 6, Chris Masters won his match on HEAT against Jared Steele. I picked Chris Masters and I didnt get any points. How come?" --Dennis of "King Batman 5"
Answer: No matches occurred during the Week 6 Sunday Night HEAT. The Week 6 Sunday Night HEAT was a WrestleMania 21 pre-show.

Geez, that sucks. That's not entirely true, either. If HEAT was broadcast somewhere, wouldnt' that count and/or qualify for points?
That's bogus, in my eyes. But...you get what you pay for, right?
I think the reasoning was that up until this season, only people from the US and Canada (except Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, New Jersey Vermont, Puerto Rico, and Quebec) were eligible. None of those people saw the international Heat televised.
This year people from the UK are eligible as well. Of course, they say the scoring is only from Raw, Smackdown, and the PPVs now, so I guess that takes care of that.

Agreed. Hey, sometimes-- especially if he's drinking as hard as it seems he must be-- all it takes to be 'happier,' to 'get his life back in order' etc. is to just GET THE HELL AWAY FROM EACH OTHER. Many d.v.
