Chris Jericho got squashed by Triple H, Billy Gunn is still a champion, the Undertaker is the number-one contender and HULK HOGAN IS THE CHAMPION!!

I blame the Undertaker. Him and his evil chair, levelling Hunter. The smirk on his face was priceless. He probably thinks he has an easier time against Hogan.

But he's wrong...Hulkamania lives!

Let the wailing and the gnashing of teeth commence!

I'd have to say that given that the alternatives are HHH as champion and Austin as #1 contender I'm happy with the outcome. I just wish RVD had won his match.

I'm desperately waiting (okay, not really) for one of you guys to re-write "The Day The Music Died" with Smarky smark smark smarkity-smark smark lyrics.

Wonder if Keith had a meltdown?

If you ask The Vile One, he'll tell you Lance Storm could have saved this PPV.

Damn!!! Last week I predicted RVD-Eddy would go 12 mins and they did. I predicted UT and Hogan would go over so that Hogan can get his win from SS back from UT. I should have tried to predict the entire card. I totally predict a UT lost to Hogan, pushing UT back to the darkside. Not with the powers and stuff like before, just a big, gothic creep.

But this is strangely like WCW. Hogan main eventing PPVs, getting wins. I hope the WWF is not silly enough to think this is a good long-term plan!!!

One word.

DAMN.

They really are milking Hogan's nostalgia wave, aren't they?

Look at what you're missing out on, Bret.

I never thought I'd be saying Hogan is now a 6-time WWF World Champion.

Though - I'm trying to figure out why RVD jobbed tonight.

Easy. To have a return match @ Judgment Day.

By the way...line of the night.

Lawler: RVD stole Eddy's frog splash. Tell me JR, who was the first person you saw doing a frog splash in the WWF?

JR: Well...D'lo Brown.

RVD jobbed to give him a chase. He willl be chasing Eddy and this fued will go about 3 months like the RVD-Jeff Hardy Hardcore title fued. That is my take on it anyway.

SSS - I can understand having a rematch - but RVD just won the belt. I would've put it on Eddie eventually but NOT NOW. Y'know?

Well, it looks like we've got the rematch from Survivor Series 1990 for Judgment Day. Hmmmmm, Flair inadvertently(?) helped Taker get the #1 contender spot. Could lightning strike twice with Flair helping Taker beat Hogan to have a champion from Raw?

Hell, while the WWF seems to be in a retro kick right now, maybe they could yank Lanny Poffo from those infomercials so Hogan can avenge that Sat. Night's Main Event loss to The Genius.

If I remember correctly the Jeff Hardy RVD feud started 1 week before Invasion and didn't go past summerslam. There was no 3 months of chasing. RVD won the title. Jeff Hardy won it back on Raw before Summerslam, and RVD won it at summerslam. And RVD/Eddy didn't go 12 minutes. According to Quick n Dirty it went about 11'43". You know what else? Not even Lance Storm could save a ppv where the fucking orange goblin of all people main events and wins the WWF title. I'm completely disgusted. Good thing I stopped watching this crap b/c it would only hurt more.

Vile One, take Jericho's cue and shut the hell up.

This is getting interesting--HHH/Taker/Flair revisited. I hope Hogan 'kills' Taker this time, so that Taker can revise his Dead Man role one final time. The only way Hogan to win is to reach deep down and do his blond Godzilla mode that made him infamous in Japan. That's right, workrate-a-holics, Hogan was once mad over in Japan too.

Three things about tonight-

1) Scott Keith is having apoplectic fits right about now- we won't hear from him again for months as the doctors attempt to sedate him enough- or he'll just come out later tonight with "This show sucked. I hate the WWF" or something similar. Ditto PWT and most of the Smarks out there.

2) It scares me to say this, but -GULP- the show was actually, uhm... GOOD. I saw a couple of really good matches (RVC/Guerrero and Austin/UT though for entirely different reasons) as well as some decent matches (Trish/Jazz and Bradshaw/Hall). Vince was only on once- big bonus. They scared me a bit showing that Steph footage in the Main Event promo, but thankfuly we were spared otherwise. And the rest of the card filled out rather nicely.

3) Hogan as champ? Shocked the holy hell out of me. But I will say that it's good that they kept HHH a face. Smackdown is in desperate need of one now that Hogan will likely spend the bulk of tv time on RAW and Rock is still out doing the promotional thing.

All in all, a pretty good PPV this time around.

I HATE wrestling! It is the DUMBEST thing ever. I hope Hulk Hogan gets CANCER from all his tanning!!!! Undertaker is LAZY!!!!! I LUV Chris Benoit, but I hate HULK HOGAN!!!! Hogan is the WORST WWF champion since...HULK HOGAN!!!!

With that in mind, I can't wait till RAW.

What makes HHH the "undisputed WWF champion" if no one was ever disputing it in the first place?

Can someone explain the booking committees' meeting on this PPV? Anyone? As I see it, it went something like this:

JR: Ok, guys, Tajiri vs. Kidmann. Both quality guys, but no one can recongize Billy if you were a "Hi, my name is Billy Kidmann, shake my hand." T-Shirt in the Mall of America. Any thoughts.

Steph: Giggle, Tajiri, because he talks funny.

HHH: I agree with Steph.

Heyman: What? Billy needs a win and this is going to be a great match, why Hunter?

HHH: Cause Steph said so.

Heyman: You have been saying that since you got back.

HHH: But, she is right, look what she did for Jericho for Wrestlemania.

Heyman: Oh man, this is going to be a long night.

Three hours later.

J.R.: So, guys we have all the heels going over tonight except Hogan even though a Trish/Molly fued with the title would be good, Billy and Edge both need wins and Austin/HHH could be a five star match. Plus, we have nothing for Jericho tonight except once again look weak again HHH. Does that sound right?

Steph: Giggle, yes.

HHH: Sure, but I get that title back after Judgement Day right?

Steph: Of course, silly puppy.

HHH: Fine, then.

Vince: Sounds good to me.

Heymen: My God, explain to me again how my company went under again. Oh well, at least I get to play with Lita's underwear.

J.R.: Thats not in the script, Paul.

Heymen: Oh shit.

I actually quite enjoyed the show, except for the Austin/UT match, which just sapped my will to live. The Hogan match wasn't that good, but I enjoyed the whole backstory and really got a certain joy out of watching HHH job.

Eddy's better than RVD so he won. Good booking ah reckon. But fuck 'em for stealing my Eddie Guerrerro vs Jerry Lynn match from Eruption.

What a weird world. Hogan's the champ, Undertaker's his evil nemesis. What the hell are HHH, Jericho and Austin thinking?

I tell ya, I'll be pretty pissed off if either Undertaker or Hogan do a job to eachother or any other top guy and not a Benoit or a Jericho.

JR: Well...D'lo Brown.

For some reason, that was my markout moment of the night. Probably because of good ole "attention to detail".

Angle/Edge and RVD/Eddie were outstanding.

Hogan/HHH was in super-slo-mo till a certain Canadian reminded us for a minute what a man moving at full-speed actually looks like.

I'm sure I won't be the only one who'll be saying this...

WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY THINKING?!?!?!?

If they are not building to Jericho getting the belt back at King of the Ring, I'm going to take a break. A nice long one. Say until next year's Royal Rumble. The Federation has been in a downward spiral ever since Vince canned Benoit and Jericho's face pushes a year ago, and it keeps on getting worse and worse. I'm sick and tired of the shit Vince is trying to force-feed us. GIVE US WHAT WE WANT, DAMN IT!!!

Side though: Another reason to hate Triple H... even though his leg injury wasn't his fault, it's practically directly responsible for much of the crap we've gotten in the past year. It only begins with the fact that Benoit's injury would not have happened...

That's a pretty stacked Heat as well... as far as RAW goes, it's nice to see that it's all faces going over except for the World title match, which is a heel/heel matchup anyways. It has that "big show" feel to it that RAW is lacking nowadays.
