Bad news - you still need a symbolic circumcision where they make your dingus bleed. Actually, the Reforms might not do that.

I myself am a Secular Jew. What's a Secular Jew you say?

Born Roman Catholic, fell away. Reverted back in 1997 and haven't looked back since =)

Doing lots of work in youth minisitry here in Ottawa and will be joining the Third Order of St. Francis within the next year or so. And maintaining a devotion to the Blessed Sacrament by goign to Adoration for at least an hour a week.

And founded/leading the Enigma Force, which is a related but different story altogether.

Wow, not a ton of representation from the Jews here. I'll add to the list (barely).

Officially, I'm in the camp of Conservative Judiasm, though not a practicing one in recent years....

Looks like I'm the first Lutheran to weigh in. Here's some quick notes:

The reason I'm Lutheran? My grandparents never went to church, so my mom went to a Lutheran sunday school because it was "the thing to do."

My dad didn't become Lutheran (or go to church at all) until I was 15.

I've been teaching Sunday School for 10 years now.

Agnostic Atheist.

That is, I have no idea whether or not there's any deity up there, and I don't think there's any way to find out. I choose to live my life as if there is no God. He may be out there, and that's cool, it just ain't for me.

If you cornered me and forced me to pick a religion, I think I'd go Taoist.

QFT. Hey, if there is, great! But I don't think there is and I've been doing just fine without.

Totally different experience for me. I got a letter from the "reverend" telling me that since I wasn't attending regularly and not tithing properly, that my membership was revoked. So, basically, they kicked me out. I was in college at the time, living in another city, so it wasn't like I could show up every Sunday. So, I became a lapsed Methodist fairly quickly.

I think the closest I can come to describing myself is a spiritually seeking agnostic. I was raised ELCA Lutheran, and thought very seriously about going to seminary, but decided I would have some conflict of interest in being a pastor teaching a variety of specific doctrines that while I believe in the spirit of, I don't actually believe. While I understand that most pastors have to come to terms with a few issues of that sort, most of mine revolve around the Christ story and I figured that might be more of a problem than usual in the long run.

I'm currently working on an Anthropology degree with a minor in Religious Studies, my focus in general being religion in the United States. I love religion and I think over all it is a very good thing, and I believe that it is a huge part of culture that bleeds over into every other aspect of life.

Non-Denominational, Non-Charismatic, Communion every week, baptism by immersion, and post-modern Christian Church. (Although by us and the ND Churches of Christ saying we are non-denominational doesn't that kinda make us denominational?)
