Football, gotta say the Packers for the NFL. In the CFL, my team folded (Ottawa Rough Riders). yeah, there's the Renegades, but they not be the ROUGH RIDERS.
Basketball, I was a HUGE Larry Bird fan as a kid. So I have a passing interest in the Celtics (which may grow with time).
My love for the Expos is rather well known in these parts. 20 years they were my team, followed them till the end. Don't know if I will ever cheer for a specific team again when it comes to baseball.
For even longer than the Expos, the Montreal Canadiens have been HUGE for me. Born and raised that way. Maurice Richard was my hero growing up. I shook his hand once....and that was a HUGE moment for me to say the least! One of the biggest Habs fans around, to the point where I *WILL* run downtown Ottawa witha Habs flag if Montreal wins the Cup.
GO HABS GO!

I root for where I lived. Carolina, Wyoming (Colorado for Pro sports), Arizona, Minnesota.
It's nice because there's always someone to root for or someone to hate. Unfortunately in the NFL only one team can come out of the NFC so I always end up rooting for Panthers/Vikings/Cards vs Denver to be the Superbowl every year.
BEHOLD MY POWER February 2nd, 2001 - August 9th, 2005 The End of an Era
MLB - Toronto Blue Jays, but I have always had a special place in my heart for the Pirates (We are Family!!!)
NHL - When I was a kid it was the Quebec Nordique. I always liked the Flyers too, but I can not stand them now. I guess by default I root for the Leafs more than anyone else...
NBA - Always been the Milwaukee Bucks, from the days of Marques Johnson and Sidney Moncrief....
NFL - Miami, Miami and Miami.... Since the days of Bob Griese.
College Sports - Orangemen basketball all the way!!!
Where the wild are strong, and the strong are the darkest ones, you're the Darkest One.
I'm a Cleveland Homer all the way. However, in the all too often case that the Cleveland team blows out and doesn't rock the postseason, I will pull for my home-away-from-home teams from Boston. Hence (in order of sport preference):
NFL: Browns, Pats - since 1989. MLB: Tribe, Red Sox - both since I was a little kid. NCAA: OSU, BAY-BEE!! (This actually ties with the Tribe in preference. I also use this to further display my utter apathy for hockey.) NBA: Cavs. I just can't pull to root for the Celtics right now. NHL: Really don't care, but if I had to choose - Bruins.
"Lita holds a Stone Cold Steve Austin home pregnancy test. What will the Bottom Line say? “Hell Yeah” or “Eh-EH”?" - Raw Satire, 6/15/04 (Apparantly ours said "Hell Yeah", 03/08/05)
NFL- I grew up in Miami, and Miami has the Dolphins: the greatest football team. They take the ball from goal to goal like no one's ever seen (sometimes). RIght now I don't know what's worse, the years of blown expectations or the years when I know they're gonna only win 5 games.
Baseball- The Marlins, although I still hold a bit of a torch for my first love before the Marlins ever existed, the Chicago Cubs.
NBA- I think my barrage of written f-bombs after game 7 of the East Finals says it all. I'm guardedly optimistic that Miami has a real shot at something this year, but this could absolutely go either way.
NHL- GO LEAFS GO. I like the Panthers too, but a lot of it was me latching on during the darkest days of the Ballard era*. If they remind me of anyone, it's the Dolphins: long standing tradition, a team good enough to contend for portions of my fandom but not good enough to win.
NCAA Football: Now here's where it gets tricky. I grew up going to many many many UM games in the Orange Bowl. However, the first few semesters of college I had were spent at the University of Florida, which means that for a time I converted to being a UF fan and kept a sort of dual citizenship about it (which was easy at that time because they never played each other ever). Also at the time, the college I went to for 3 years, Florida International, didn't have a foot program and wouldn't until a few years later. I'm still a big UM fan, the Gators not so much and FIU Football I've made small alumni donations to.
NCAA Basketball: Kinda fallen by the wayside for me, but I do root for Miami to do well (even though they never do) and it usually means I'm on the bandwagon of Illinois come March thanks to my Chicago-bred relatives. Damn they were heartbroken this year.
*In doing a little curiousity research, I found a great quote out of Wikpedia regarding Harold Ballard that I have to share:
Originally posted by Wikpedia"Ballard was well known for his charitable activities, and even leased out The Garden for many functions. However, as Ken Dryden put it in his book 'The Game', he seemed 'like [a] wrestling villain who touches the audience to make his next villainy seem worse.'"
It's all about the game and how you play it INDEED.

I don't actually follow any pro sports, but I'm a big fan of teams with pirate-related names. This is simply because I think pirates are cool.
At my last count these teams were the Pittsburgh Pirates, Oakland Raiders, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
I also like the Minnesota Vikings because Vikings were pirates before there were really pirates.
HBK: You’re flat broke aren’t you? MJ: Please let me wrestle on RAW! HBK: Fine, but I ain’t wearin’ no fruity tassels. MJ: Are these your mirror pants? HBK: Give me those!
NCAA - Florida Gators football and basketball teams, Texas Longhorns softball team NFL - Bills MLB - Mets NBA - any team with Gators players (mostly the Grizz and Heat) NHL - San Jose Sharks
NFL - Detroit Lions NCAA Football - Ohio State Buckeyes NHL - Detroit Red Wings NBA - Detroit Pistons MLB - I don't like baseball, but for the sake of continuing the pattern, Detroit Tigers.
NFL - Broncos NHL - NY Rangers !!! MLB - Mets (hiding head in shame right about now) NBA - Knicks NCAA Football - BOISE STATE - got to love the Blue Field NCAA Hoops - Princeton
MLB: Red Sox NFL: Giants NBA: Hornets (no, really) NHL: Rangers (dunkn, you should be hiding your head in shame over THEM) NCAAF: Hawaii (hey, I loves me some run-and-shoot, even if I can't run it in NCAA Football 2005) NCAABB: UConn (I'm told that's mandated by law here) EPL: Liverpool (roomie freshman year made us watch the EPL review show every week just so he'd know how they were doing)
You wanted the best, you got... Out of Context Quote of the Week.

This just seems to be one of those hypotheticals that come up- I've seen on Facebook and other places on the net. I've just always been a sucker for those body switch movies that came out in the late 80s (Vice Versa, Like Father, Like Son- Switch, etc....
