Double question! I finally got a cable modem August of 2003. They still haven't updated the phone line so there isn't any other option unless we went satellite which wasn't happening. Currently we've paying one ARM or 42.95 a month on top of the extended cable package. You?
***Edit*** One reason this question was asked like this was they usually got hand in hand. The cost and the High Speed stuff. Yet still one sentence.

I got high speed about three years ago. With regards to how much, I am not sure. I split the cable bill with my roommates and it's about $190 a month, but that is for more than just the Internet.

Maybe a year ago, I think. I have SBC! DSL Pro. I think I'm at the special rate of $29.99 / month right now, but the normal price is $59.99 / month. But I don't really watch TV very much, so if I had to get digital cable that would come to more anyway.

I've had it since late 99. Currently paying 45$ for high speed cable including the tv portion of the cable seeing as how the company seems to be unable to give you internet signal wihtout the tv signal (shhh).
I ay $10 a month for dialup. THat's good enough for me. If I need to do some serious work on my website and whatever, I'll do to the closest cybercafe for a couple of hour, or to the library.
We've had it in various flavors, with one 7 month trip back to the dark ages of dial up after we bought our house and neither dsl nor cable modem was then available here, since late 1998. Currently, our Verizon DSL runs about $32 a month but it changes a bit depending on which bundle package we're using.

Comcast cable modem since late 2000. They have raised their TV rates a few times since then, but the broadband has been a solid $49.99 since then, even with all the speed increases.

I go with a local company YHTI.com, who's DSL runs $32 a mnoth. Very happy with the speed and service. I've been using them since about December of last year.
I hate you. That's my wish, though I will probably be watching from home. Maybe I'll party outside Copa after the Tigers beat the Cardinals 4-2. Now THAT one I've done. Oh, and I would like to see a SECOND Wrestlemania in Michigan.
