If you have about five minutes to kill this is a quick read. I still can't believe someone actually took the time to look this stuff up. I still can't believe I actually took the time to read it all.

I don't care what anybody says. The original Power Rangers was a pretty damn good show.

Well I didn't now Thuy Trang died til over 2 years after the fact. I really didn't care about it and didn't know til I started following it again. I'm 22 and I still follow the show, not religously but I still know whats going on.

The 2005 incarnation is S.P.D. and it's police based. Next years will be Mystic Force and it'll be magic based. And whats funny that in that "Undressed" storyline,Jason David Frank(Tommy) "making out" with the woman who would be the Yellow Ranger in Wild Force, the 2002 incarnation.

In Japan the show has going on for like 25+ years. It's called Super Sentai or just Sentai.

I, too, keep up with it. If I read correctly, the American productions have pretty much caught up to where the Japanese are right now. At least, when Magiranger (Mystic Force) starts here.

I thought Tommy was the black ranger in the 2003/4 "Dino Thunder" series. Wasn't that the latest one before SPD?

Thuy's death was tragic, and a bad omen: two Crow movies, two deaths. Sad coincidence.

The original three series (MMPR, Zeo, and Turbo to a much lesser extent) will be my personal favorites. I think they dropped the ball with Zeo, it was a really good series.

When was it that Zordon died, though...wasn't it the Lost Galaxy year? Andros pulled the plug on him, if I remember correctly.

Oh, and check out the FOREVER RED episode if you can get it or download it. IT's quite funny.

An PR is always one year behind Sentai series wise. So you can always get info about the new show before their even announced. Here (supersentai.com) is a good source for all Sentai shows.

Tommy did come back for Dino Thunder but he won't be back for the DT/SPD team-up.

Zordon died during In Space, he had to if Andros did it.

And I liked Forever Red, and Zeo will always have a place in my heart because of Kat. And the show was pretty good too.

I was under the impression that they were speeding ahead faster than the Japanese folks were creating episodes. My bad.

Any idea why Tommy won't be back for the DT/SPD team up?

I admit, I loved the original series, if for only one reason: the GREEN RANGER SAGA. Oh man, as a teen, I marked out when someone took on a Ranger outfit and handed their asses to them.

This thread got me to look up a bunch of Power Ranger info, since I haven't really followed it since the first movie. I had no idea that CSI's resident tech guy, Archie, was the Blue Ranger in PR: Lost Galaxy.

It was a hassle last year for him to be in New Zealand and I don't think he wanted to leave his kids again. The team-up has already been filmed and word is he didn't have any part of it except for maybe a VO as Tommy stuck as the black ranger as he was in some of DT. But I don't know if its true or not.

Tommy was there for all of Dino Thunder as the Black Ranger. At the end of that saga, the Rangers all basically gave up their powers and went back to their normal lives, including Tommy. So it kind of gave some closure to his character.

Tommy was always my favorite through-out the series. I kind of stopped watching around Power Rangers Turbo came around and basically all of the original cast had left. I think season 3 or the Pre-Zeo season was the best.

I remember at one point they did a cross-over and eventual spin-off with another Power Ranger-like show called MASKED RIDER (I think its KAMEN Rider in Japan).

The info on that site is a little out of date on the Green/White Ranger....

Back then, a picture of him with Chuck Norris. Now....

He currently plays the role of Matt Hardy on RAW.

Just to note, doesn't ABC now own this show? I thought I read that when FOX sold the FOX Family Channel to ABC, that Power Rangers went along with it. BTW, I miss it being called FOX Family Channel.

Actually it is owned by Disney, since Disney owns ABC.

Actually he spent a lot of it doing voice over when he was "Stuck" as the black ranger. I heard it had to do with the filming of a movie.

Eh well, I'm still counting it . I think it was for less than half the episodes anyway.

I think that they were happy to get him back for one final season, that they did whatever he wanted schedule-wise. I think he did do a movie but he didn't want to spend a lot of time away from he kids too I believe.

I'd be one to wonder who's the next of the "old school" rangers to show up as a mentor. I mean, I was admittedly shocked that Tommy showed up...and I admit, it certainly heightened my interest in the series.

I would LOVE to get the original series on DVD, but I think that Disney won't even think about it. Their "three episode equals one movie" home release DVDs are doing well enough.

Oh, and my MMPR game for the SNES still gets some play from time to time. Much more than the "Mario Kart Rip-off" Zeo Battle Racers.
