I stopped reading after the claim that a 175 lb person could be turned into something that exactly equalled 175 lb of output, none of which I translated into "waste". There's nothing scientists hate more than a theory that espouses perfect conversion without waste.
According to Fortune, that thermal depolymerization plant ran into some troubles. http://www.fortune.com/fortune/smallbusiness/articles/0,15114,1018747,00.html They figured that animal waste was going to be declared unsuitable for animal feed, but that never happened. So they have to buy the animal waste, which raises their costs up to $80 / barrel. But they plan to build plants overseas, where food processors will likely pay them to get rid of their refuse. Still an interesting idea though.

Animal waste should be declared unsafe for animal feed, but that's another story. Wow do I prefer eating organic.
A strict constructionist interprets the Constitution according to the language and original intent of the text at the time of its writing, in much the same way as a fundamentalist views the Bible. Fortunately, for strict constructionists, they have been endowed by God with the superhuman gift of being able to read the minds of people who died 200 years ago. Naturally, they use this power only for good - America (The Book)

All I can say is DAMN! This is actually one of the things that keeps me from going to the beach a lot. That or the fact that I watch way to many horror movies.
