Yay! I was positive they would screw this up somehow and let him go somewhere else because of money.

Plus they signed Sergei Samsonov to a one-year qualifying offer, too. With them also signing Alexei Zhamnov, Glen Murray, Brad Isbister and Jonathan Girard, they signed more players with value than I thought they would. I was imagining the Providence Bruins skating in Boston this season.

With the new CBA, every team is on an even playing field with salaries. This plays best for the Bruins more than any NHL team. Jacobs makes Sterling look like a great owner, but when Sinden was running the show, he always found the best players for the cheapest money. Will O'Connell do the same? I hope so.

i was kind of disappointed to find out that it was cancelled when watching it the other night. i realize espn cut down on the number of games from last year, and now nbc will take over for abc's share of games whenever "next season" is.
