I disagree with Rey Mysterio being booked strongly and getting credible wins over Christian and Eddy Guerrero. These two are maineventers who compete with big men, having them be humiliated by the smallest guy in the business just doesn't seem sensible to me.
I do like the Guerrero/Dominick story, however. It's nice to see the wrestlers try a drama story instead of the same old, same old. I do think it should be shortened a bit and not take up so much time on Smackdown as this isn't everyone's cup of tea.
What did happen to Rob Van Dam? I miss the guy. The last time I saw him he was a draft pick to Raw, and then I don't remember seeing him again since.
I'm actually most worried about Lita in the Matt Hardy angle. IMO, her personal life being dragged up, and her being labeled a "whore" is going to kill her career. I don't see any girls wanting to buy merchandise that is associated with a slut, and I don't see people taking her serious again, not calling her a slut/whore when she comes out.
It'll be interesting to see what the buy rates are on this Summerslam without Triple H on the card. If it does well, perhaps the WWE might start trying other talent in the main title picture.
I have no problem with Eddie losing to Rey, Eddie is pretty much untouchable, no loss is going to hurt him. He got beat by Rey six consecutive times and they still chanted for him at the ppv. Christian MIGHT be a different story but I think we might as well give up on the WWE ever seriously pushing Christian as a main eventer anyway.
As far as I know RVD is still injured.
I don't think the Matt/Edge/Lita story will kill her career. Lots of people have survived a long time by being called a slut or asshole every week. Her personal life might not be so great after cheating on her longtime boyfriend with one of his best friends, but she deserves that.
If Summerslam does well I don't think they'll say "we got good buyrates because Triple H wasn't on the card" they'd probably be more likely to say "wow if Summerslam did good think about how much better it would've done WITH Triple H". Then they'd probably rush into a meaningless Cena/Triple H match at the next ppv.

There's no way anyone other than Hogan and Michaels are getting credit if the show does a good buyrate, and I'd rather have Triple H back than see Hogan stick around any longer.

Then you must be blind.
Yeah, like what about the Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset?
Or the latest Jessica Simpson/Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera/latest poptart CD?
Sadly, skin is in. You'll find young, impressionable women buying those albums. And, much to our dismay, I'm sure someone is thinking that Lita is cool for what she's doing/what she did.
(edited by SOK on 5.8.05 1152) I've seen the following movies this year:
Coach Carter; Star Wars III; Batman Begins; Fantastic Four
Wait a second aside from the Royal Rumble and last night. Scott Steiner had one televised match and that was 90 seconds with Batista. He looked awful last night, it was comical.
