I like his new look. It reminds me of Animal before the Road Warriors formed, minus the cut-off jeans he used to wear.
I'm sure someone must remember that...
I was thinking the same thing. Now, if he can develope SOME sort of charector, they may be on to something. He did look more muscular, but less BIG if that makes sense. Slimmed and toned.
I found it amusing that Bam Margera made it on camera twice (and once on the TitanTron), because he was sitting w/Nick Hogan, and was not acknowledged at all, despite being one of the biggest stars on a Viacom sister station...c'mon, *synergy* people!

The Lovely Mrs. Tracker couldn't figure out how theey managed to have two Eric Bischoff's on the screen at the same time. I told her it was Chavo. Who, by the way, nailed his character with some funny one-liners ("Scottsdale, Arizona? A little too close to the border, if you catch my drift.") The Chavo can do no wrong. The Chavo is immaculate. Swear fealty to The Chavo.
What really stuck with me is how lopsided RAW is with heels of various skills and status. They range from curtain-jerker (some of the Lumberjacks match made their RAW debut tonight) to main eventers (Angle, Jericho, Michaels). The faces, however, have one big shining star (Cena) and then the spectrum drops sharply to the midcard. Look at who helped Cena in the main: Viscera, Big Show, Tajiri, Shelton, Val, and Rosey. Aside from the injured folks (Eugene, RVD) and the always absent (Austin, Rock, Foley, and I didn't see Hurricane tonight) and the busted-up Kane, That's IT. That's your cadre of heroes. And that sucks. I'm not counting Hogan as a RAW guy because he floats as an uberstar between rosters, but he makes my point because he didn't help either. (Gotta take a stand? Can't let it slide? Phooey to you, brutha.)
Makes me think Hunter's coming back as a face.

Damn, Shelton gets the "Jeff Hardy Blown Spots Award". Did he really fuck up that many times?
I was entertained by RAW. Execept for the fact the 1/2 of the World Tag Team Champs got totally punked out by Chris Masters (he referred to him as 1/2 of the WWE tag champs).

Kane versus Edge.
Kennel in a Cell.
What no Judy Bagwell on a Pole Match?
Seriously though, it's great to see a match where Snitsky is the better wrestler.
I'm waiting for the Ugandan Death Match, so at least Kamala can get his annual weekly paycheck. And, it has been nearly 4 months and no one has yet to steal the briefcase. Someone needs to steal it. Perhaps, the person not allowed to be mentioned on TV takes it and uses it as a hostage for his return to the roster. Happy 3rd anniversary to Uncle Eric. No one thought it would last this long. IF they are going to make the Carlito thing last long, they need to make off the top rope and over the top rope DQ's in his matches. That, and 10 minute time limits. Is Vince getting some thrill off of Angle vs. Fired School Teacher, because it really should have been a one shot deal. I miss Flair. I don't miss Trip.
Chavo's Kerwin White is stupid but makes me smile nonetheless. Maybe it's that green sweater. It seems inspired by the Chappelle's show blind white supremicist who doesn't know he's black. The Hispanic who thinks he's white.
Keep Maria as an interviewer. Her voice alone makes me laugh. She is such a contrast to the big, macho guys she interviews. Thinking a lumberjack match involved actual lumberjacks was cute in a ditzy way. Cena's reactions are funny too. I only wish she could interview The Rock on a regular basis. Now THAT would be funny.
Did anyone really think ROSEY would be the one to break the Masterlock? I was hoping for Brock's music to hit, but a Big Show appearance was inevitable. Masters really looks like comic Jay Mohr on steroids. Maybe that explains why "Last Comic Standing" isn't on....
If Hogan is the face, why am I dying to see Michaels kick the ever lovin' crap out of him?
The opening match was kind of a mess, and the fans seemed to realize it....Why bring out Striker again, only to job him in less time than last week?....I thought Myrtle Beach was the golf capital of the world?....Well, looks like Big Show will break the Masterlock, which is what many predicted. My question: before the draft lottery sent B.S to RAW, what was the plan for the MasterLock challenge to end?....
I liked Edge telling Matt, "Go back to the indies!"....The Edge/Kane match was pretty solid....Cena v.s Snitsky was nothing special, but it wasn't the embarrassment it could have been.

Hasn't happened yet. That match was carried by 1) Jericho 2) Cena 3) the rest of the heels 4) Snitsky. There was one great spot where Cena stood waiting for what felt like forever for Snitsky to feed his comeback and Gene was like 'nah I'm gonna just hang out here for a second.' But all in all, I think that was the best possible match one could imagine Cena and Snitsky having, since they didn't do anything egregiously wrong and the crowd was majorly sucked into it by the end.
Did we skip a couple of steps in HBK's transition to super-cocky prick? I thought it would be more slow burning. I wasn't expecting HBK '97 last night. Maybe I wouldn't have given it a second thought if I didn't read about the huge face reactions he was getting over the weekend...against Flair, of all people. Maybe they told him to turn it up a couple notches last night.

I figured he was trying to make himself distinct from Jericho, the other main-event heel.
I like his presentation so far, even if the argument itself is a bit weak.

My thought was that they were setting up the Masterlock as a way to restore some heat to Batista after he was gonna job the title back to HHH. But I'm a huge fan of The Big Show, so I'm just glad he has something to do now.
For me, the highlights were the Big Show's theme playing - the crowd finally sensed an end to the MasterLock angle.
The "BORING" chant during the divasearch was terrific - I had walked into the next room when the segment came on, and heard the crowd chanting.
I'm sorry, but Hogan/HBK is not doing anything for me. I'm probably too conditioned on how angles like this are built slowly, it was obvious that they weren't gonna do anything last night.
I liked the Kane/Edge cage match, and thought Kane's bladejob was a nice visual - he sweats a lot so the crimson mask was very effective.
I didn't mind Snitsky in the main event since Jericho and the rest of the heels were the better part of the story they were trying to advance. I agree with JustinShapiro that the crowd was majorly sucked into it by the end, but I think Snitsky deserved SOME of the credit for that.
Overall, not a great Raw, but far from the worst ever.

Because my friend, you are the only sane person in an insane world. Shawn from 97 hooray, hell yeah! Give me Shawn from '93 and I'll be *real* happy. Damn, those were the days. Maybe he'll write die on his chest in Hogan's blood. That would make me the most happy.
This whole damn Hogan revival is my fault for jubliantly declaring that his hall of fame inductee status surely meant that he would never be stinking up the ring again. Fate is a cruel mistress, indeed.
Well, I made it through the whole show. While nothing was particularly bad (a thank-you goes to the crowd for heckling during the Diva segment), nothing really stood-out, either. But, at least it's an improvement. (Or maybe I'm suddenly less picky.)

A)I don't even get a throwaway vaudeville shot at Cena? Oh C'MON!
As for the hanging out, how do you know Cena didn't go to his mark early?
Oh and I don't know about being called AJ. Makes me feel like I should be mad at my father for taking a shotty to Steve Buscemi's head.
B) The last person Foley endorsed was He Who Must Throw His Arms Out To Telegraph A Diamond cutter.
Between that and Hogan/Austin passing the torch to Cena I'm not sure I trust the legends to choose their anointed.

Anyone else think Masters couldve scored some funny asshole points by saying "here comes 3/4 of the tag champs"?
Three oinkers wearing pants, a plate of hot air, a basket of grandma's breakfast and change a bull to a gill, got it.
So I missed writting last weeks report leaving Phil to do solo. This is mostly me doing a solo report. WHAT WORKED: TKG: Ric Flair talking about breaking hymens is always going to make the what worked column.
