The San Antonio Spurs are the 2005 NBA Champions.

First half of this series was not so good but the last 3 were ESPN Classic material.

Robert Horry has as many rings as Michael Jordan now.

Can't say that Detroit didn't make them earn it.

I missed the game but afterwards did the Pistons turn over their title belts to the Spurs?

I think the best part of the Finals being over is I won't have to read belt jokes anymore.

Also, the team that employed Mason lost. WOO HOO ;-)

I'd just like to take this time to dedicate my current sig to all of you Detroit Pistons fans out there who talked ALL that trash In This Very Thread during the finals when your team was winning, didnt really have much to say when they were losing, then completely vanished when San Antonio won the title.

Yes Rev. Shaft, I'm talking to you. Eat some crow like a man, already.

Absolutely, the Spurs showed up and played like champs. They beat the Pistons without any luck and their series win was not a fluke. They flat outplayed the Pistons in this series. Congrats to them and their fans (and to you, Freeze, who apparently is now a Spurs fan).

Luckily, no. Though I fail to see why you care, seeing as how the games were so boring and all.

That's one of the reasons he ended up with the Rockets, if I remember correctly. Rudy T et al spent months schmoozing the Chinese, to give them the best chance of the Chinese saying yes if the Rockets selected Yao.
