Seems like a bad idea if WWE actually does want him back. I mean, if they do hire him, they want it to be a surprise for everyone, especially the smarks that've been chanting for him. Won't be much of a surprise if he announces on his website, "I'VE MADE MY DECISION AND WILL BE BACK WITH WWE SOON!" or something to that effect.
I think Matt's a great talent, but, man, he's just got to learn to keep his mouth shut.

Worked fine for me...it must be you.
It's good to see that Matt learned a lesson about putting personal business on his website.

Geez, what's with all the hate? Can't the man post a **hypothetical** question on his own board without everyone flying into jealous rage? I say KUDOS! Kudos to Matt for keeping the "v1" in INTERACTIV1TY! I still say PROUDLY that I AM AN MF'R! Now WHERE is BrewGuy with his upside down WWE logo?!?!?!
I was hoping to give him the following advice, which for some reason I've actually given some thought to ...
Matt -
I am a fan of wrestling, and have enjoyed your work in the past. Like many internet-savvy smarks, I have followed several of the outside-the-ring developments. While I feel bad for what happened to your personal life, I did not agree with how everything seemed to be handled from your end.
Obviously, there was a regrettable situation and you were treated badly. But your actions, by commenting on this situation publicly, left the WWE with really no choice but to terminate your contract for unprofessional behavior.
It is really not often that people, celebrities, or mid-level talent, etc. are given a second chance. For you, it seems that the WWE is about to give you one. You have a number of fans to thank for this, as well as Paul Heyman for his comments at the ECW ONS PPV.
Like others, I hope that the decision you make is what would make you happy. You have no obligation to listen to anyone but yourself. As I think about it, some of your past decisions I would not ever even consider, i.e, some of the high-risk spots you have taken.
With this in mind, I would encourage you to return to the WWE and enjoy what is sure to be a brief storyline return to face Edge and Lita. If you do, thousands will be entertained, albeit perversely, but this very well might be the last best opportunity you get to be involved in a huge storyline, and might improve your marketability on the indie circuit down the road.
The cynic in me is concerned that the whole end of your real-life relationship with Lita, and the comments on your website by you and Adam's ex-wife were all done solely to promote this as an new angle. It may be fake, it might be a silver lining, but second chances are hard to come by.
You can never burn a bridge in wrestling it seems. Matt would be a fool to go to TNA. Sure, he might be a bigger fish in their smaller pond, but the WWE is not going anywhere, but TNA is in limbo without a TV deal. To me, its a no brainer, go back to WWE and put everything you got into that Lita/Edge angle. I'd pay $35 to see them on a PPV, and I bet a lot of people would too.

So can we expect you to start seeking our input before making your next important life decision?;)
The Bored are already here. Idle hands are the devil's workshop. And no... we won't kill dolphins. But koalas are fair game.
I'm all for his posting. I think he truly gives a damn about what his fans think. And judging by the WWE crowds, there are quite a few of them.
Sure he could go to TNA, a company with no TV deal in place and plenty of question marks about their future. He could work the indys where I'm sure he gets a pretty good appearance payday.
Or he could comeback home to WWE & walk into the locker with a little more swagger in his step. The man's got no reason to be ashamed of anything. And plus, the steady paychecks will be there.

I get that message too.
"Hey Matt, I didn't touch her....I swear !!!"
The PWTorch website is also running a Matt Hardy poll on what you think he should do:
Seems to me like they HAVE contacted him and he's learned his lesson about broadcasting EVERYTHING over the net.
Matt Fact: Matt has learned discretion and will probably come back to WWF, thus depriving David Young of someone else to suck against in the forty five seconds that is your average non-X Division match on Impact.

Booyah.
OK I give up. Did you just make that up, or did you read it somewhere that I can't find, or what? I searched Hardy's main page for "WWE" (also for "WWF," which you posted above, and which makes me doubt this comment's authenticity) and it didn't come up, same for posts by him on his message board...

Well it was a joke... you know, any excuse to take a potshot at Dusty's TNA run.
Some people are "ahead of their time" but apparently Jeff is about 6 years behind. Given this scenario, he'd have fit in perfectly back when they used to tape 4 weeks of RAW in one night.
