I don't know if anyone is still interested in free web-based email accounts any longer, but I just activated my 2GB aim.com account, as offered through AOL instant messenger.
The interface is not as nice as Gmail in my opinion. Still, it looks like something that can have a place. I'm hoping that mail notification is built in to AIM so that I don't have to run another helper application.
It's really strange, because I get much better service from AOL now with their free items than I ever did when I was an AOL subscriber.
Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid.
I do have to say it would not suck if there was a Mozilla extension or Trillian was upgraded to check aim.com mail too. How soon can we expect someone to make it so?

I have a Jabra one I've been using for a few years. I don't know if it is a currently available model but I bought it for an Avaya phone, and it works just fine with our newer Polycom phones we picked up for Lync.
