Came back with a bang this week, literally. Bad joke, I know, but true nonetheless.
The scene where the Russian mob guy blew himself to bits with the C4 was crazy, just left me gobsmacked like all the characters were.
Aceveda's really done it now. He even thinks of walking into the Barn and the whole place will beat his ass. On one hand, I'm not surprised he'd make a shady deal to keep his "cell bitch" performance under wraps, but to make a deal that frees a guy who set up the murder of 2 cops in his own district and that guy happens to be Antoine Mitchell...that's something else. A really big hit of desperation. Rawling was awesome (again) when she reamed out Aceveda at the end.
The Dutch/Corrine thing had the door left open a little bit and maybe there's a chance for that story to go where I was hoping it would. Dutch falling over in his sabotaged chair was hilarious.
I can't believe the season's going to be over next week, but at least it won't be like the Sopranos where 2 years passes before the next one airs.
Rawlings single tear just sitting under her eye while yelling at Aceveda was an amazing touch. Glenn Close probably gets an Emmy nod for her run.
Vic's comment following Rawlings tirade probably did more to hurt Aceveda than everything she said right before that. Great delivery by Chiklis.
It was nice to see Dutch grow a set, but he should be thanking Claudette (who they seem to be setting up as the next captain again) for saving his life when he challenged Vic & she stepped in. It was great how wussy the "fight" between Dutch & the other detective was though...
I love how they call back to everything they've ever done at any time. They may have the best continuity of any show I can think of. They really reward their loyal viewers when they take the time to do that.
Great episode as usual & I'm psyched for the finale. I'm not even going to bother with predictions... just watch & enjoy as it unfolds. :-)

Are you kidding me? Ive never seen an actress just march her way to an Emmy like close is doing now. Its one thing for an actress like her to step into an intense show the Sheild but the way she is basically carrying it at parts is amazing. And dont get me wrong, no one on the show needs to be carried, but Its awesome just to see her own some scenes even with Chiklis in it.
"I could be wrong, but I doubt it"---Charles Barkley
If it were up to me, Close, Chiklis, Karnes, Goggins, and Anderson would all get Emmy nods...but that's just me.
Awesome episode. Dutch may have acted like a tool last week, but he totally redeemed himself by whipping Billings's ass. Hey, that guy should've been kissing Dutch's ass after last week. Dutch had been fumbling around, dropping wheelchairs, and acting as the butt of everyone's jokes when he just had enough. Quote of the week belongs to Dutch: "What are you going to do, hide behind your car and turn on your hose?"
I'm curious where things would have gone between Joanna and Dutch had he called her some months ago. She's pretty cute, and like Dutch is rather lonely, but I'm not sure how ethical it would be for him to get involved with her, notwithstanding how spending time with the Cuddler's wife might push him closer to the madness he has alluded to avoiding.
I know I shouldn't have, but I laughed when Juan Rizano said, "My dick in your mouth" and then made that obscene slurping noise. This guy is such a dick. Of course, Acevada's a bigger one for brokering a deal with Antwon to take care of him.
By my calculations, Danny is the second cast member to be shot (3rd if you count Reed Diamond as Terry) during the show's run. It looks absolutely non-fatal, though. Hell, I'm just glad that they did something with her.
The only thing funnier than the Russian blowing himself up was the Strike Team hauling ass out of there at full speed. Oh, and it was cool to see Taylor, too, if only for a brief scene. Great episode.
It's been weeks since I've had my Bob's Burgers fix. It might not have packed the same kind of punch that the last few episodes did, but this was still good stuff.
