The best way to cap off a birthday is to head over to STARAOKE and perform:

"How Soon is Now?" by the Smiths
"Kiss" by Prince
"Dance Hall Days" by Wang Chung
"Don't You Want Me" by the Human League with hostess Arzu

...and of course the showstopping, heartstopping rendition of

"The Beautiful Ones" by Prince & the Revolution

OUT OF MY MIND

Even more out of my mind, we're probably going back TONIGHT

Man I'm gonna need a nap sooner or later

(What do you MEAN I should be working?)

My best friend was in NYC this past weekend and I found my favorite joint had just added 1200 songs to their book. Oh yes. Twelve hundred.

I did Bowie's "Young Americans"
Joe did Hank Jr.'s "Family Tradition"

Then we dueted on
David Allen Coe's "You Never Even Called Me By My Name"
and for old time's sake
Atlantic Starr's "Always".

We were the hit of the bachelorette party that we somehow found ourselves in the middle of.

And that's how you narrate a story.

I love this song. First time I heard it I figured it be a great karaoke song.
