The order is as follows:

1. Milwaukee
2. Atlanta (man, they couldn't even win THIS)
3. Portland
4. New Orleans
5. Charlotte
6. Utah
7. Toronto
8. New York
9. Golden State
10. LA Lakers
11. Orlando
12. LA Clippers
13. Charlotte (via Cleveland)
14. Minnesota

And, of course, the other 16 are ordered by the record (IIRC).

Probably a good break for the Hawks, as they would have just taken Andrew Bogut and been disappointed anyway.

I was hoping the Blazers got the #2 pick so there would be 6 weeks of 'Who Will Be The Next Sam Bowie' talk.

Falling out of the top 3 is exactly what I was afraid of, but the Bobcats do have some flexibility. This is the same team who managed to jump up 2 spots to grab Okafor by basically taking Predrag Drobnjak's contract from the Clippers. They could always stay put and take somebody like Gerald Green or Raymond Felton, perhaps package the 5th and 13th picks to move up, or just try and work some cap magic again to sneak into the top 3.

This is fantastic fucking news for the Bucks. Either Bogut or Williams, can't go wrong. Great, great break for our team after an injury plagued last season.

This reminds me of CRZ's recaps. "So play Chris Benoit's music because he LOST!"

So, heehee, let's put up the Kings logo because the Bucks won the lottery!

Maybe he's expecting Pervis Ellison II to be selected first? ;-)

After seeing the Bucks win the #1 slot in the Draft Lottery, how many potential #1 picks are now hoping to be #2 ?

Atlanta didn't really lose out though. Bogut is the obvious choice as #1 (who will probably be the weakest #1 pick since Joe Smith) but I think the smart choice at #2 is Chris Paul. That will give them a solid PG and Lue can go to the bench. The Hawks have a ton of cap space and might make a run at one or all of these 4/5 players: Stro Swift, Kwame Brown(RFA but the Wiz most likely let him walk), and Samuel Dalembert (Another RFA. Philly will most likely match any offer for him now that OBrien isn't the coach in Philly anymore, which dashes my hope of a sign-and-trade to the Celtics for Mark Blount). Granted, the Hawks will still suck, just suck less.

Whoever winds up drafting Bogut is going to be sorely disappointed. The man may have above average skills for a big man, but I don't think he's tough enough to hack it in the NBA. He won't be the disappointment that Sean May will be, but he won't warrant the pick that gets used on him either. Marvin Williams was the first pick in the first ESPN mock I saw, and I think that's the more logical pick. Or, if somebody's willing to trade up for that #1 to get Bogut, you have to look at that if you are Milwaukee.

Exponentially less than the number that would've hoped that if the Hawks, Bobcats, Trail Blazers, or Hornets would've ended up with the #1 pick.

All the losing the Hornets did during the season tanking the last 9 games for a #1 or #2 pick and we get the #4 pick. Man our luck stinks as I was really hoping for Marvin Williams.

I hope Chris Paul is that breakout player that the Hornets need to survive in the West and to get people in the stands.

Isn't that what they said when the Bucks drafted Glenn Robinson?

Yeah I forgot about Kandiman. Kwame can still be a very good pro, IMHO. He just needs a change of scenery.

I don't know that it's that simple. From Jordan reducing him to tears in practice to his spat in this year's playoffs, it really doesn't seem to me like he's got the mental makeup to be an NBA player if nothing else.

To be fair though, he's still relatively young for an NBA player (21 or 22?). If you're an NBA GM, I don't think he's worth trading your better players to get him but maybe a 3 or 4 year MLE deal might be worth it. I don't think the Wiz will match the offer.

A fair contract for sure, considering any 7-footer in the NBA these days gets that amount or more, even if their skills are close to nonexistant (see: Blount, Mark; Foyle, Adonal; Olowokandi, Michael)

The best part about this lottery,IMHO, was the reaction of the Bucks GM. That was some nerves working there. He seemed genuinely excited to get this pick. Good for the Bucks.

We did well after we drafted him. And Bogut doesn't sleep on defense. Time will tell, I guess.

I'm personally waiting to see if he can do a repeat performance. If the Clippers get this far, but lose Sam Cassell (THE single reason for the Clippers' turnaround) in the offseason, all these good feelings could be for naught.
