SlashWrestling has a lot of great stuff, but I was wondering if a re-design of the site was in the pipeline sometime soon?

Also, check out http://www.netslaves.com for a sec. I was wodnering if there's any chance of SlashWrestling being re-designed so that all the articles are on WienerVille Wrestling, with links to stories there from the front page like Netslaves does?

That way you would get responces to every collumn there because they're all on the boards...

I am in love with the current design. I vote 'keep it'. The're just to many glossy, over-glamorized, look at me sites out there. [Slash] wrestling's simplicity is my favorite thing about it.

As always, 210 is right on the money. If Z changes the site, I will be most assuredly disappointed.

Just say no to change. The old school look works for me.

You're in a desert, walking along in the sand when all of a sudden you look down and see a tortoise. It's crawling towards you. You reach down and flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over. But it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping.

There are a number of advantages to a [SLASH]-style layout. It's not very demanding to a server because it's largely simple text and background colors. So it loads easier and is less costly to operate. Plus non-flashy is CHIC, baby.

I had an idea once for a new look to [SLASH]. It was a layout that was very Atari 2600. That's what the front page sort of reminded me of the first time I saw it because of the way CRZ uses the big block lines of font and shades the background color slightly different as the blocks move down the page.

It would be basically the same layout, except framed in black with darker colors in the text background lines as you went down (a color scheme similar to Wienerille actually), with sparse use of little moving GIF wrestlers as they would have appeared in an Atari wrestling game if such an animal had existed.

Basically they would look like the Berzerk stick figures but they would do crude elbow drops and stuff.

I think it will be getting a Sacramento Kings makeover soon. Just a hunch.

I would make an in-jest post about Shaq then dunking over the entire slash website, but it would probably be met with ire and scorn. ;)

I think we need to redesign the site but screw it up, have horrible server issues, and finally give up on it and merge with 1Wrestling.com.

No, wait, that's probably not such a great idea after all.

I don't know why, but whenever I see that picture, I automatically think that she disolcated her jaw, and she's whacking it back into place with her hand JUST as the picture was taken.
