I'll have to say that the exchange in the interrogation room between Shane & Antwoine may have been one the best scenes I've seen on televsion. I had to rewind & watch it a couple of times.

Looks like Acevada is going to be the family man, so I wonder how long it will be before "Hookergate".

Once again, a damn solid super-sized episode.

The scene where Rawling got in Mitchell's face the second time, & Mitchell just stood there gritting his teeth & tearing up, then simply saying "I want my lawyer", was AMAZING!!
Who knew Anthony Anderson had such solid acting chops??? Seriously impressive performance.

Seeing the Strike Team come together as a unit again was cool & very well done. The evolution of Lem as the most complete & complex Strike Team member continues. Watching him struggle to define & understand who he is, are some of my favorite scenes.

One thing I love about The Shield is their continuity. They once again reward their long-time viewers by recalling Dutch's experience with the serial rapist & the cat. Great performance by Dutch in the interrogation room, & interesting reaction by Claudette when she saw how "real" it was getting for Dutch.

Great episode yet again. Is too much to hope for an hour & a half every week...? :-)

Awesome, awesome, absolutely awesome. The scene where Monica badgered Antwon about his father was unreal. I concur that Anthony Anderson has surprised and impressed me immensely, and if he doesn't get an Emmy, he at least deserves to be cast as somebody other than the "fat, funny black guy" in anything else he does.

Shane's provocation of Antwon in the interrogation room was awesome, too. It wasn't necessarily surprising to hear the N-word from Shane's mouth (remember Derrick Tripp in Season 1), but knowing that Shane was out to provoke Antwon so he could kill him made for some great TV.

I was hooked during the "previouslies" when they showed Dutch strangling the cat. I was wondering if they were going anywhere with that, and now it seems as if Dutch is a little too scared to get into Kleavon's headspace. I am wondering if Dutch intentionally flubbed up the whole coma/surgery bit just to keep from going off the deep end himself. Speaking of Kleavon, this guy is really well-played. That is one thing I love about The Shield - even if an actor only gets a little bit of screen time, the people who cast them make sure they have their shit together.

It appears as if Acevada's problems with the rape are far from over. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering if we were about to see the last of Sara Frazier last night. I guess that it is indicative of the show to not turn EVERYTHING into a car wreck, and instead of having Acevada hurt her more, he is slowly moving towards a path of redemption.

The bickering couple in the cage was pretty damn funny in an otherwise somber episode. "Barely legal means just that - legal." Oh, man, that was great. It was also funny to see them make up. The funniest part about the whole thing is that I'd be willing to bet that most of us know people like this. Oh, and I know that Julian is coming across as an outsider, but I really wish that Danny would back off of him...especially when she is trumping up bags of weed as an excuse to get Vic a new car.

Absolutely killer episode. Line of the night belonged to Shane...."After a couple of Vicodin, you'll have them believing that you don't jerk off." Priceless. :)

They spent a whole lot of time showing the scene where Lem put the weed in his glovebox, and then showing Army drive away in the same car (I think). Simple moral conscious question by Lem, or is somebody going to find the brick of weed and bust somebody?

Lots of commercials for a usual episode. Probably wouldn't have clocked in at 90 minutes, but it was longer than a regular episode.

3 episodes to go!

Fuckin' A that was a great episode. Yak's right about Anthony Anderson, he's gotta get some drama roles coming his way. He was going stride for stride with Glenn Close. After watching him this year, he could draw me to a series or movie if he were in it with a serious character.

I wonder what happens over the last 2 shows with Rawling's inquiry into Vic with that IAD guy. She gave the impression she didn't believe he could have been clean all the way through her tenure. She wanted to, but something was gnawing at her telling her otherwise. Will Vic find out about it?

What about Dutch and Corrine? They have to give us something else with that before the end, I'm dying to see the Vic/Dutch face off.

I wonder if Aceveda's turnaround from his personal problems (if it really is a turnaround) will affect his work. Will he still have a hard on for busting out Vic? Is he going to take the the idea of the cops being killed as a reaction to the seizures and make political hay out of it? Can the relationship with the hooker really stay a secret?

While it's a great loss for us and Comedy Central, I'm not as worried for the Daily Show as I was when Colbert left.
