Er...what the hell? (thefutoncritic.com)

Two things really stand out to me...

Arrested Development gets Mondays @ 8...until January, then it's nowhere to be found. (a) I thought they got a full season and (b) doesn't FOX still have the MLB playoffs? So how many eps will air - 10?

House starts off on Tuesdays @ 9 then in January moves to Mondays @ 8 as lead-in to 24. I'm pretty positive that it'll be a better lead-in than Nanny 911, but *planning ahead of time* to move a show's day and time mid-season? I'm confused.

It's basically a given that one or more new shows that appear on the fall lineup will be cancelled by January. I wouldn't put too much stock in "Arrested Development" not appearing on the January schedule as it stands right now.

Tuesday
8pm-9pm: Bones (A scientist called in to investigate murders by looking at the victim's bones; starring Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz, and Michaela Conlin)
9pm-10pm: House

Wednesday
8pm-8:30pm: That 70's Show
8:30pm-9pm: Stacked
9pm-10pm: Head Cases (comedic drama about a man who loses everything and tries to get back on track; starring Chris O'Donnell, Krista Allen and Adam Goldberg)

Thursday
8pm-9pm: The O.C.
9pm-10pm: Reunion (Chronicles the lives of six friends over 20 years; starring Will Estes, Amanda Righetti and Chyler Leigh)

Friday
8pm-8:30pm: The Bernie Mac Show
8:30pm-9pm: Malcolm in the Middle

8pm-8:30pm: The Simpsons
8:30pm-9pm: The War at Home (Family comedy about parents raising teenagers; starring Michael Rappaport, Anita Barone and Kyle Sullivan)
9pm-9:30pm: Family Guy
9:30pm-10pm: American Dad

That schedule is until January. Starting in January, House moves to Mondays at 8 and 24 begins at 9; Tuesdays has American Idol at 8 and Bones moves back an hour to 9; Wednesday's first hour is the same, with American Idol at 9 and a new show, The Loop at 9:30 (a young exec with wild friends; starring Mimi Rogers, Bret Harrison and Philip Baker Hall). Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are the same.

Cancelled (or not renewed): Jonny Zero, North Shore, Point Pleasant, Tru Calling, Life on a Stick, Quintuplets.

Summary: I'm glad AD and Stacked is back- when I first saw Stacked, I thought it had no chance, but its been drawing almost 12 million viewers and got in the top 25 among 18-49 viewers last week. It's my guilty pleasure. It'll be interesting to see how the one non-animated comedy does on Sundays.

Fox had better do the right thing and give That 70's Show a decent send-off.

"He is the most overrated piece of crap in the league. He bitched and whined after he got his ass beaten in New England last year, so the NFL changed the rules. Then he got his ass beaten in New England again. Every year he's the top MVP candidate. Every year he's supposed to be the best. Every year he's going to carry the Colts to the Super Bowl. And every single year he goes to New England and gets his ass beaten. And his brother's a whiny little bitch." -A friend of mine, on Peyton Manning

I would say it's about two years too late for that.

I love King of the Hill. I know they want a good Simpsons lead-in for a new show, but that hasn't worked since the first few seasons of Malcolm. Why don't they just pop King of the Hill in between the Simpsons and Family Guy so I don't have to find something else to watch for 30 minutes?

"Reunion" has Chyler Leigh, therefore it shouldn't make past episode six before it's canceled.

The premise seems a little shaky to me, but I'll still give Bones a chance. Can't say no to David Boreanaz.

And again, I reiterate, you can't have That 70's Show without Eric. It's on the level of bad ideas along the line of replacing Michael J. Fox with Charlie Sheen on Spin City.

Yes absolutely thank god we will be getting more Stacked. IT'S WITH BOOKS AND SHE IS STACKED LIKE SHELVES. A deliciously droll double entendre.

The sister on Life On A Stick is a babe though, seriously dudes.

Is it going to far out on the limb to say Double Episodes of The Simpsons on Sunday Night will occur again starting the week after the NFC Title Game on FOX?
Well, Arrested is not going head-to-head with West Wing now, and since nothing else is on Monday's before 9ET, it'll be in a good time slot.
And, after a dozen years with the NFC package, FOX has finally realized it isn't worth having a show scheduled for 7PM ET due to it getting pre-empted most weeks.

It's not like they have anything else to put in there, unless they want to re-run old episodes of "Family Guy" from its initial run on FOX. Depends on how well it does in the ratings between now and then, I guess, but I'd have to assume the Simpsons would get the double.

Amazing, isn't it?

Looking at the Sunday lineup, I can't help but think of how foolish it is to throw a live-action show in there. An animated show attracts specific types of viewers and has room to be absolutely ridiculous without coming across as stupid or inane (a balance "Malcolm in the Middle" accomplished at first but slowly lost after awhile).

It's also my theory as to why, even though it's the best show on TV, "Arrested Development" never did as well in the ratings. Well, maybe not a theory as much as an excuse. Either way, glad to see it move to Mondays.
