Pretty interesting casting, if it's true. Me likes.

Baby, I hear the mutants calling, tossed salad and scrambled eggs...
Why stop there? Ted Danson as Gambit! Inspired casting.
John Ratzinger as Commander Cameron Hodge, you know, the guy with the severed head attached to the giant robot spider body in X-Tinction Agenda? "Ehh, you know, an interesting fact about killing mutants..."
Woody Harrelson as Banshee.
Oooh, how about this: George Wendt as Blob. Then you could have the running gag whenever Blob enters the X-Mansion:

I like Kelsey Grammar, but isn't he a bit too old to be playing Beast? Granted it will all be cgi'd in, but I just don't see him bouncing around like the Beast would. Is it possible that Beast will be totally cgi, and Kelsey will only supply the voice? (and possibly the base motions ala Andy Serkis/Gollum?) I might be more amenable to that...
Although it wouldn't make much sense, it would be neat to see Grey Beast in a sequel played by David Hyde Pierce.

Man, as soon as I saw the thread title, I thought "Mr. Sinister."
Beast is an interesting choice as well. The X-Men franchise struck gold with Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, so it's good that they're branching out a bit with their casting choices.
So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show.--- Del Preston
I can see the concerns, but Grammar's voice is PERFECT for Hank McCoy, and most fighting and stunts will be handled by doubles and CG anyways. Good stuff.

That's the great thing about the X-Men flicks. They've not only used great effects, but the acting is top-notch (Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Alan Cumming, etc.) ... the addition of Kelsey Grammer is welcome in these eyes ...

Yes totally. And we're not just swayed by thinking of the voice from the cartoon~.

Is there going to be Gambit this time for sure or are you just a-hoping? Does he have to be somebody in the Anna Paquin age range so he can (not) do it with Rogue or would they drop that for Rogue/Bobby? I ask you specifically because, uh.

Basically just me hoping, though I thought I had read somewhere awhile back that he was to be included in this one. But I don't remember where I read that, so I can't confirm anything.
The guy that played Boone on Lost could be a good choice, provided he can do a decent Cajun accent.
Originally posted by Teppan-YakiMaybe it's me, but I find it deliciously ironic that Grammer signs on to be the most agile character in X-Men after his fall off a Disney stage.
As for Gambit, Remy's name does come up on that database screen in X-2...
So does Franklin Richards. I doubt Haley Joel Osment will show up with H.E.R.B.I.E. (voiced by Christopher Walken), though. Although that would be amazing.
How can anyone not like Gambit? Like all cajuns, he's awesome. Cajuns are the best people who ever lived. You don't know what you're dealing with. Are you French, are you a hick...I just don't know!
I would like to see the next X-Men movie lean away from Wolverine for a while. I get that he's the most popular character, and Jackman does a good job with him, but there are other interesting characters that could use some fleshing out. For starters, let's not have Cyclops unconscious for eighty-eight percent of the next film. And give Colossus more than just a cameo.
I've still got my fingers crossed for Big Van Vader as Juggernaut.
Hot Virgins-The World's Most Steadily Shrinking Commodity
The other interesting factor about the X-movies is that they haven't even scratched the surface for villains yet. Presumably if they do the Phoenix storyline for III, then Jean will kind of be the Big Bad with Magneto no doubt manipulating things as well.
In terms of major villains, there's still Sinister, Juggernaut, Exodus, and Apocalypse and his horsemen. Man, an 'Age of Apocalypse'-centric movie would be pretty sweet.

I read somewhere (that I can't find the link to now) that they are trying to cast Angel (who was filmed for X2 but cut out) and have casted Lost actress Maggie Grace as Kitty Pryde.
