So, my best friend and I don't get together as often as we'd like anymore, but when we do, we like to go back to the old days. We enjoy sitting around the TV, slowly getting drunk on Old Style, playing video games and wasting the day/night away. For us, it doesn't get much better than that.
However, I need your help in recommending some games for us to play this weekend. Because we haven't gotten together much recently, we've both been focusing a lot on single player games and neither one of us have a good idea of what is out there for multiplayer.
We like just about anything, whether it be co-op or against one another. Sometimes we can even get into working through a one player game (one guy playing the other watching and keeping track of stuff - then switching off) but only if the game is really good - I think we did this with the first Resident Evil and Final Fantasy X. Here are some games we've had no problem wasting a day or two playing to give you an idea (starting from WAY back in the day). You'll see that we dip into just about any genre.
All Mario Karts (Super, 64, DD) GoldenEye 64 All Maddens (1993-2005) All NCAA Footballs (1999-2005) ATV Off Road Fury Series Dynasty Warriors Series NFL Street NFL Blitz Super Monkey Ball Series Super Smash Bros Melee Halo 1 & 2 MVP Baseball Series So let me have some of you best recommendations on a few games we can try this weekend.
Oddly enough, my friends and I have had more fun (trying) to play GTA:SA in a group. We take turns, switching off after a mission complete/fail, busted, or wasted.
Just watching someone trying to navigate the highways after three shots is funny on it's own.

Been there, certainly. Good times.
Thannks guys. Other receommedations I've found have been:
Star Wars: Battlefront Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Alien Hominid FF: Crystal Chronicles Timesplitters 2 X-Men Legends
Tecmo Super Bowl on either the NES or SNES/Sega...each of you gets a team, you can finish the season in a long day/night. Then you compile the stats, put them in Excel, and do all kinds of fun and exciting studying of numbers!!
If you have a GBA w/ cable, Pac-Man Vs. is awesome. The more the merrier in that game.

I would say if you really dug the last one, you'll like this too. It's really not all that different unfortuantly. A bit better graphics, more tracks and more cars. Other than that very similar in my view.
