I picked my Gators to come out of that bracket too, insane I know, but I couldn't resist. I also have Alabama in the Final Four so I'm worried about this Kennedy Winston injury also. Heck, if LSU and Alabama were in seperate brackets I'd maybe go with all SEC teams in the FInal Four. So yeah, I'm losing for sure.

I'm usually terrible at these things, but I do have fun. I don't think 'Bama is going to be the 5-12 upset either...but I hope I'm wrong. It'd be nice to see the Wisconsin teams make it further into the tournament.
Good luck everybody!
Kennedy Winston (Bama's all-SEC forward) might miss the opener with an ankle injury suffered in practice so don't be so sure yet...I picked Bama and I'm kind of worried.
Yeah, it's early, but UWM is kickin' a$$ at 32-15! Go Panthers

Thankfully I only picked them to go on to the next round...AND my eleventh hour switch to UW-Milwaukee worked out. Go Panthers...
Thanks for a great season, Pick of the Week fans...see you next year at Planet Magic in Denmark, WI!

Meh, I'm not surprised. Of course, I already have lost 1 Sweet 16 team, so whatever. I'll be okay.
And yeah, I was kinda counting on the 5-12 jinx to bite Michigan St. Oh well, at least UW-Milwaukee now has someone else on their bandwagon, hoping they screw up even more brackets.
EDIT: Haven't lost that Sweet 16 team yet. Forgot I had 'Bama losing in the second round. Must've changed that.

And this is where it pays to follow the Big East. Pitt just isn't the same this season as they were the past few years.
4-4 so far in the bracket that counts...

My note to self: Don't fill out your brackett sheet out of rivalry spite, even if you DO think team in question could cough the game up like a hairball.
Florida almost pulled one of their patented come-from-ahead-to-lose routines, but it wasn't to be.

Not really, i mean you're right they did almost lose, but that's not really patented of them to lose a big lead like that, usually they play awful the entire game and the lower seed is going back and forth with them. The twenty point lead, while it didn't last, was the longest i've ever been able to relax during a Florida Tournament game. Lucky we pulled it out though, but hey sometimes you need a scare in the first round, worked for Florida in 2000.
Since I always stink at these brackets I've decided next year I'm going to put my least favorite team in each regin in the Final Four, that way they have no chance of winning. I might not win any polls, but atleast I won't have to see Duke win a championship.
CHICAGO: Lost Alabama (who I had in the regionals, but losing to Illinois), LSU (who I had losing to Arizona next round) and St. Mary's (who I had losing to Oklahoma St.). ALBUQUERQUE: Lost Creighton (by 2 points, but I had them dying against Wake Forest). SYRACUSE: Lost Kansas (by 1 damn point, and I had them sneaking past Wisconsin and losing in the regionals to Connecticut). AUSTIN: Lost Stanford (slated to die against Duke) & Syracuse (slated to die against Michigan St.)
Ah well. I only ever follow basketball during the NCAA Tourney, so I guess my stupidity in picks can be summed up in that...and that I'm Canadian.
I've lost a lot. Syracuse as a final four team. Alabama in the round of 8. Kansas, LSU and Stanford in the Sweet Sixteen. Really it's just up to my two finalist teams because one Gonzaga, was not picked much for the Finals, and Florida I don't think was picked at all. So whatever chances there are for a Gonzaga vs Florida are my chances of winning. Oh well, now I can atleast enjoy the upsets instead of damning Bucknell for beating Kansas even though I hate Kansas and love that they got upset.
Well, the good news for me was that I only lost 2 Sweet 16 teams, which is what I was hoping for going in. (Not losing more than that, that is.) The bad news is that one of those teams was Syracuse, who I had advancing to the Final Four. Stupid committee - why couldn't you put Vermont against a team I didn't want to pick, like Florida?
