The Honkey Tonk Man thread gave me the itch to check out what Tom Zenk is up to on his website these days. His latest commentary is a fun read if nothing else.
[I don't know how to post the clicky links but...]
So did you guys even read what he said? He really laid into the nWo. He might not have the name of a Honky Tonk or an asswhipping list, but his comments are more bitter and once in awhile almost make sense.

He's also a MASTER OF PHOTOSHOP. And in terms of his name recognition...
Teamed with Rick Martel in the WWF as one half of the Can Am Connection.
Teamed with Brian Pillman in NWA/WCW, held the US Tag titles. Also held the TV title for a brief period of time. Went on to work All Japan puroresu.
I dunno. He might be bitter, but we like him. And we're tasteless, baby.

I think we lost sight of the original point, which is Who Cares About Tom Zenk Any More Than Any Random Crank On A Message Board.
Well Zenk has a better point of reference than say, you or me since he was a worker and knows some of these guys personally (unless you were a worker, I'm assuming you weren't). Now does that make his opinions any more valid? Nah. Is he a kook? Hmmm maybe. But his insight into the biz can't be completely discounted. He's all over weird historical moments. For instance...who did Vader squash in his first WCW match? That's right, the Z-Man. Plus anyone who's heard his WOLive appearances appreciates his (insane) wit. There are less informed and less credible people out there with larger followings (look to the north, you shall see him in his rotund glory...). To say Zenk is "just some crank on a messageboard" is like saying "Meltzer isn't a credible source". And really, what kind of person would do that?
Tom Zenk has made more of a name for himself wristing columns full of bullshit on this internet thingy than the his long career of accomplishing nothing in the ring.
Like him or not, Zenk's articles are entertaining. The boys on Live Audio Wrestling have him on the radio every so often and he's great to listen to. He does seem bitter, but that's part of the fun.
that's what I thought, but wasn't exactly sure how the Nielsons worked. In other Tito news, today's column is another gem of nonsense. "Remember folks, spread the word about chanting "GOLDBERG" at WWF events.
