As a die-hard Titans fan ... this stings pretty good.

First Derrick Mason signs with the Ravens.

Now Samari Rolle will be wearing the purple next season.

It'll be interesting to see the Ravens come to town next season.

Did the Ravens really need another cornerback?

We lost Gary Baxter to the Browns, so yes, yes we do need another starting Cornerback.

SHIT. The Chiefs had better sign Ty Law now. And I'm hoping and praying for Ed Hartwell too.

Gary who?

After that stunt he pulled, to hell with Gary Baxter, ESPECIALLY now that we have Rolle.

Did I mention that we are AWESOME.

Now, if only the Ravens had a QB who didn't suck, they might have a chance to do damage in the AFC. 2000 will be 5 seasons ago and the defense and special teams aren't as dominant as that year, so the offense might actually have to be at least mediocre to be considered a serious contender.

It's clear what the should have done. They should have traded for Trent Dilfer this offseason.

ESPN.com: League officials report that the Kansas City Chiefs have lowered their offer to linebacker Ed Hartwell after the organization discovered that he's been suffering from an ingrown toenail. "You never know, it might get infected," said Chiefs GM Carl Peterson, the longest running general manager in the history of organized sports despite having dick to show for his efforts.

You got Kendrell Bell instead. Good pickup for the Chiefs.

I can dig that. I figured the Chiefs would be shying away from him because of the groin injury last year. If we can get Law or even Smoot now, we can get an outside linebacker/defensive line help in the first two rounds of the draft, we should get enough defense going that they won't be an active hindrance when it comes to winning games. Woods has lost a step in the secondary, but Wesley is top notch, and Warfield won't have to cover the other team's top WR anymore (hopefully).

edit:// Smoot signed with the Vikings tonight. Damnit.

...Marcus Mariota! Congratulations for being the first winner from your school, and for the 90.9% of the vote received. He has been an exciting player to watch, and I have to admit I'm not looking forward to next year without him.
