"-John Laurenaitis has gotten a lot of heat backstage and most recently for stepping in on a personal matter between a married wrestler and a female worker in WWE. Apparently Laurenaitis felt it was his position to step in and by doing so created more tension. He threatened to break the pair up and move them to separate brands and also said the wrestler wouldn’t be allowed to leave his wife. The wrestler then went to Vince McMahon to complain about Laurenaitis interfering with personal matters."
didnt think much of it then..but sounds like this was known for the while...unless theres more cheaters in the lockeroom....wonder who was gonna be moved?
When I read that I had assumed, I think with most everyone else, that the female in question was one of the 'rookie' divas. You'd think Lita would be a bit more careful with her status in the company considering how injury prone she is.
If I think about WWE making this an angle, all I can think is how they would over complicate it while at the same time dumbing it down. There's no way they could pull off an angle this well.
I can understand threatening to break up the pair by placing them on different shows, as that probably is to prevent morale from plummetting. However, on what planet does Johnny Ace, the former flag-bearer for the Sheepherders and one-half of the Dynamic Dudes, think he is living on by even thinking he has the authority to prevent someone from leaving their wife? Does this mean the PTC has a member placed in Vince's hierarchy?
Maybe I'm in the minority here but I think Edge will be the one moved to Smackdown. First of all if the rajah report is true they have already threatened to move Edge or Lita (assuming that who it's talkinab about). They can't move Lita she has be on Raw where the Women's Title is. So that leaves Edge. Plus, they've been building up Edge for a long time but when he is ever going to get the title? After Triple H? After Batista? They've turned him into a main eventer but now he has nowhere to go. Over on Smackdown once Cena disposes of JBL they are going to need a new top heel, Edge fits perfectly. Edge was on Smackdown already but it was as a face, so even though he will face some of the same people again it will be different because he'll be on the heel side and the opponent will be on the face side. As for Matt, well being on the same brand as Lita might not be fun for either on of them but I would like to think Matt is less likely to go off on her and beat her up or anything like he would maybe do with Edge. Personally I'd love to see Matt get a push on Raw, maybe even let him play the same part in the Triple H/Batista feud that he played in the Lesnar/Undertaker feud.

I doubt he was saying the things about it to prevent somebody from leaving thier wife, but more on the lines of "keep it in your pocket and dont mess business up backstage."
My not really important thoughts on this are that this puts the WWE in a tough position, really... They won't fire Lita, because she makes the little girls happy and therefore = merchandise $$. However, there should be some sort of punishment simply for morale.
There isn't much that Matt Hardy is to blame for, except the Xtreme recountings of rumors and gossip via his web site, which I'm sure the WWE doesn't love to see.
As for Edge, I can envision him being punished, and I see it being done solely for morale in the locker room reasons, though apparently there are other rumors that this isn't the only situation going on backstage that mirrors this story. I don't foresee Edge getting shipped to Smackdown at all... if they indeed ship Orton over as the new #1 heel for Smackdown after Mania, then there's no need for Edge there. Perhaps they could ship Matt back, but I don't think they would leave Edge and Lita on the same show.
So in all honesty, I only see Lita getting shipped over (women's title be damned... they don't consistenly give a damn about it themselves anyway). That leaves Edge and Matt on the same show and Edge gets some serious locker room hazing as a result. Perhaps this will all be tied up in some sort of macho 'bros-before-hos' line of thinking in a few months anyway.

All kidding aside, this is a big deal. This is a serious breach of locker room etiquette, of work etiquette. It also throws Edge's character into question. Now you have to wonder, is he a guy that the company will trust as a tippy-top guy?
About Ace stepping in? Wasn't there a policy put in for the boys to stay away from the Divas during the Diva Search. Seems like they're frowning on inter-company romances. Makes sense too, divas are expendable, but you don't want some guy following his girl out the door (ala Lawler and Carter from a few years ago.)

Wasn't Triple H engaged to Chyna, and then left her after sleeping around with Stephanie McMahon? Seems like they still trusted him to be the top guy.

Surely you're not so clueless as to suggest there're ANY parallels drawn between these two situations.

Your skeptism about the "new work" is impressive.
I don't know where you got anything about the new work or Vince Russo. I just believed it got blown out of proportion, and although since I have become convinced this event did happen, I bet stuff like this has gone down all the time and this one just got out.

Couple things, FFTG13.
1- Divas are not expendable. Clearly you see the difference between Lita and Maria, don't you? Surely you don't lump Trish in with Candice...Nameless faceless divas who have no history with the fans are expendable, but you could say the same thing about any male wrestler who hasn't been given a substantial storyline reason for the fans to care about him as well. Paul London, Rosey, or even Steven Richards leaving and never coming back would affect a small, disenfranchised portion of the audience, probably not greater than that affected by the loss of one of the new Divas, but substantially less than would be affected by the permanent loss of Lita.
Give the girls their due, dawg. They matter.
2- Lawler following his girl, and I do mean girl, out the door was the best thing that happened to WWE in a long time. It had no negative impact on ratings and we got good heel commentary for the first time in years. If Heyman were on there now, he'd agree with Hassan, and that would make it ten times more interesting that Team Tell You What To Think.
For all this talk about punishments, does anyone think Matt Hardy is losing at least some measure of respect for running around telling everyone about this stuff, and humiliating all involved parties in the process. Seems rather juvenile to me.

From what I gather, Matt Hardy is one of the most liked wrestlers by all the roster in that he's very easy to get along with. I can't back it up myself, but the local WWE rep was on a call-in radio show on the weekend and said so himself. He does his job, doesn't act out, is loyal to the company and bookers, and doesn't argue - according to this dude.
The internet posting might bring about some new rules on wrestlers having personal websites though. I thought there already was a rule from about five years ago that made their websites exclusive to the WWE? Back when Rock and Mick Foley were getting their own WWE-affiliated websites. Hmmm, I guess not anymore.
The rule is you cannot have a personal site, unless you had that site before you were in the WWE. I assume Matt had his from awhile back.
On another topic...last night Dave Meltzer was saying that Randy Orton harrassed a girl in WWE to the point she just quit because management did nothing. Anyone have any idea who that was?

Sounds like the Amy Weber situation.
EDIT: Straight from the Torch newsletter:
"Several sources indicate that Randy Orton was involved in the harassing of Amy Weber on the flight from Japan to Alaska that led to her quitting. Besides having a bloody mary poured on her while she was sleeping, Weber is telling people that Orton "did something else to her" and that is the main reason she is considering suing the company."

Back then Benoit was married (with kids) and Sullivan & Woman were married and travelled together.
I thought Benoit was single back then, and that these kids (it's "kids", plural, right?) he's had with Nancy are his only ones.

Oh sure, Matt is actiing like a baby, I fully expect Matt's next post to tell Christian why he should take his side and not Edge and Lita's or something like that. Still, the guy just had his girlfriend stolen by his best friend, that's pretty hard to deal with so I'm willing to give him a little leeway on this one.

Hey, the guy has to vent somehow. Maybe in Matt's eyes its better than beating the shit out of Edge and possibly going to jail or getting sued or something......but I do see your point.
In defense of Matt, I pretty much had the exact same thing happen to me when I was with a girl that I was engaged to and had been with for 5 years. I was so angry, hurt and betrayed that I wanted to make sure that practically every single person that I knew would know the real reason we were no longer a couple and that she was the "bad apple" in this situation. Good thing that I did, because soon after I found out that she was telling everyone that she knew that it was a "mutual break-up" and that she met her new guy "after the break-up". Women can be so evil.
