Taken from Wrestling Observer - http://www.liveaudiowrestling.com/wo/news/headlines/default.asp?aID=12601

"WWE is planning a DVD on the 1997 Survivor Series tentatively titled, "Screwed: The Bret Hart Story." And the night after it comes out, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and HHH will be driving home after a show in Ontario crying about how these stupid Canadian fans can't let it go."

So what does this say about recent talks between WWE and Bret? Seems like the chances of Bret being in the Hall of Fame next year might have dropped big time. Unless the DVD is going to be heavily tilted in favor of Hart.

I'll reserve judgement on the DVD until I see it, but I sure as hell hope this not the Bret Hart DVD that has been rumored to be in the works. That would really be a shame if instead of an awesome career retrospective we get more finger pointing and bickering over Montreal.

If this is intended to get the American crowds fired up enough (on either side)over Bret to bring him back, I'm for it.

Maybe Wrestling With Shadows had been eating at Vince for too long (i.e. being a documentary more/less told in Hart's favor that Vince had no final control over in the production/editing of) so here is Vince's chance to still beat a dead horse...but get the last word in without the threat of a major rebuttal outside of Bret's official website and Sun column. And really, isn't the last word what it's all about?

That's pretty much exactly what I was thinking. But you hope they at least get Bret to tell his side if they're gonna do an entire DVD on the damn thing. And sadly, I have a feeling this WILL be the promised Bret DVD, with his "best of" matches thrown in as extras. Unfortunate...

I think if you analyse the title it tells you the direction the DVD is heading IMO.

To me the WWE are admitting it was a screw job and will take that angle to promote it. So to me it seems as if there has been some agreement at least between Bret and Vince over the release. I do think Bret Hart will be inducted say WM22 or 23 after sufficient time is taken over discussing everything Montreal.

Vince aknowledges the screw job Bret agrees to be inducted and a canker is removed form Vinces side....oh and Vince can then freely release any DVDs on Bret Hart he wants and make more money.

Talk about overthinking!

Let's play the Match Game. I'm your host Gene Rayburn and this is the big money Super Match - an exact match with Richard Dawson's response will earn you ten thousand dollars. Richard, write down your best answer to this:

Joey Maggs was a frequent enhancement talent for both the WWF and WCW - more famous than, say, Brian Costello, but less famous than Barry Horowitz. Totally unnecessary, but you were dying to be the first guy to say it, so congratulations.
