So the leader of the new era, Triple H new belt and all, the only man eligiable on both shows has been defending the title agaist all comers from both brands. Negative. So far he has head one title defense and ending the match by pinning title threat Stephanie. I mean i heard the guy is hurt and there my not be a need for him on raw with him feuding with hogan but he is THE UNDISPUTED CHAMPION. I mean i would like t have the champion fighting challenger after challenger ala Bret hart in his first title riegn, defending agaist everyone. Even Virgil. I enjoyed raw last night quite a lot but still. Im sure Jercho wouldnt
mind defending the belt every show in 20 minute classics.
i need some actual wrestling here and taker-rvd was a good start
the best match last year in my opinon was benoit-austin form smackdown where chrisd gave him the ten german suplexs. the main events must be more like that/
i just had to get all this off my chest. phewww.
Once the match started the giant looked high and low, but he couldnt find Shane.Which Way did GO?
If he was booked to defend the title I am sure he would. They will probably spend alot of time on SD building the Hogan-HHH feud, but I am not sure if it will be via a match. Maybe in the week before Backlash it will come to a fight, but not any sooner.
Which isn't a bad thing if they do it right. And btw, why would H show up on Raw? The contender is on Smackdown and he doesn't care about what goes on on the other show now..

I don't think it's a bad thing at all that the title is held back for PPV. There's been a group of people clamouring for more importance to be placed on the Undisputed title (you know instead of having it as a meaningless prop in a divorce storyline) and if the belt is defended less, it is therefore more important when it is put on the line, and whats more, being number one contender and getting a title shot is more important as title shots are rarer. If the title is defended less it would elevate the title and the number one contendership to mean so much more, especially if your part of the WWF only gets a number one contender once every two months. I've got no problem with that scenario at all. The title matches on free TV rarely resulted in title changes (or credible challengers half the time) anyway.
"Nobody enjoys a good time more than I do, but this business of yours is as legitimate as a three-legged donkey...which of course is illegitimate because as we all know donkeys have four legs."
sorry i disagree. I say the champion should be defending the title. What would be the point as to having him on both shows unless he was defending what he has worked so hard to get. i dont think having less title defences make the title stronger. It makes it weaker. Example: People sya the wcw title lost credability cause of Arquette winning it but i say it did when hoagan one it first. He literly did not defend the title form superbrawl in feb against vader until bash at the beach against vader. 4 months with out a title defence. it was degrading. The belt will mean more if you have meaningful matches along with your current feud. Not defending the title lessens its value form where im seeing things. Anyone out there agree?

Heat: I agree that what Hogan and WCW did was atrocious. However, I do think less defenses of the title, and more angles of people working for their shot at it would make sense. I'd like to see the champion make one defense per month on each show, plus the PPV defense. The rest of the time should be about people working their asses off and fighting for a crack at this holy grail. Only those who win and succeed should be going for the title, and those who are getting shots at it should be consumed by it as if their lives depended on it. Not only are those angles much more effective IMHO, they're also simpler and easier for the crack-addled monkeys writing WWF tv to try and wrap themselves around than getting laughs from dog shit and hand lotion jokes.

a twenty minute world title defense twice a week would not be a good thing. there are very, very few workers out there - if any - who could sustain that for more than two weeks without becoming horribly repetitive. jericho certainly isn't in that class, internet darling or no.
as for triple h not defending, it's been four weeks since he won the title and we haven't even gotten to another ppv yet. the federation is only two weeks removed from the split and all that entails. chill. i'd rather they have their ducks in a row before they start throwing title shots around willy nilly and introduce a whole bunch continuity errors.
It's just you against the group mind. I like weiners.
I'm a little cautious to sign up, because I figure if they're not getting their $9.95 up front, they're probably getting it some other way (selling personal info? obtose banner ads?
